Where to stay for Chongdu Valley, inside or nearby?

[Direct conclusion] Nearby stays vary, in-park stays are few or pricey and plain; town or city stays are better value with rich dining. Key points to keep in mind: 1. We suggest by budget and commute. 2. In-park: Few in-park, pricey, book early, for dawn/dusk fans. 3. Nearby: Town/city: more choice, friendlier price, commute ok. 4. Commute: We note one-way time in the plan, no stranded far stays. Note: Check how far the hotel is from the meeting point and attractions.
