Day 1: Huangguoshu

Gather in the morning and set off for Huangguoshu. Follow the guide to tour the main route, covering all the key spots, allowing ample time for photography and rest; enjoy a local specialty lunch at noon, continue exploring in the afternoon, and check into the hotel in the evening to rest and prepare for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction introduction: Today’s itinerary includes Huangguoshu. Huangguoshu Waterfall is located in Anshun, Guizhou, and is one of the largest waterfalls in Asia, over a hundred meters wide with a drop of nearly seventy meters. Water plunges directly down, mist rises, and its roar is like thunder, making it spectacular. Behind the waterfall, there is a water curtain cave, through which you can pass and view the waterfall from the inside, offering a unique experience. In my view, the waterfall is most magnificent during the flood season (summer), but there is a lot of mist and the ground is slippery, so it is recommended to bring a raincoat or waterproof jacket; wear non-slip shoes and pay attention to your footing.

Warm tips: The mountain trails have many steps and steep slopes, so be sure to wear non-slip sports shoes; those with mobility difficulties are advised to take the cable car up and down. Visitors generally report that the waterfall is magnificent and the water curtain cave experience is unique; note that the water curtain cave will get you wet, and walking at Libo Xiaoqikong involves a lot of walking, so wear non-slip shoes. Based on actual conditions, when taking photos, don’t focus only on the shots, pay attention to your footing and the surrounding environment, and be sure to stand firmly on viewing platforms and trail edges.

Meals: Please take care of it yourself

Day 2: Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village

Setting off early from the hotel straight to Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, first listen to the tour guide explain the background and highlights, then freely stroll at your own pace and take photos at points of interest; after lunch, take a short rest, and return to the hotel in the evening to conserve energy for the next day.

Attraction Introduction: One of the highlights of the itinerary is Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, located in southeastern Guizhou. It is the largest Miao ethnic settlement in the world, with thousands of stilted wooden houses built along the mountains, layered upon each other. When night falls, thousands of lights resemble stars, creating a spectacular scene. Here you can experience the Miao long table banquet, silver ornaments, and singing and dancing, immersing yourself in the rich Miao culture. In my view, it is essential to stay overnight to see the night view; the lights are the soul of Xijiang. The misty Miao village in the early morning is also extremely beautiful, so don’t oversleep.

Tips: The temperature difference in the mountains is large between morning and evening, and the wind at the top is strong, so a windproof jacket and warm inner layers are necessary. Tourists generally report that the night view with a sea of lights is photogenic. Although some say it is commercialized, it remains spectacular; the observation deck is a must-visit, and the long table banquet is worth experiencing once. Based on actual conditions, the best times for photos are early morning or late afternoon—fewer people and soft light in the morning, golden glow at dusk is most photogenic, while the midday overhead sun is harsh and crowded, so reserving that time for rest is more worthwhile.

Day 3: Libo

Today's theme is Libo. Avoid peak crowds by visiting off-peak hours, follow the recommended route for an in-depth tour; have lunch nearby with local flavors, spend the afternoon on free activities or additional guided tours, and rest at the hotel in the evening.

Attraction Introduction: This stop brings us to Libo, located in Qiannan, Guizhou, famous for the Xiaoqikong and Daqikong Attractions. The water forest of Xiaoqikong, the sixty-eight-step waterfall, and Wolong Pool create scenery like a fairyland, earning the title "Emerald of the Earth's Belt" and it is also a World Natural Heritage site. Here, mountains and waters blend harmoniously, and the air is fresh, making it Guizhou's most famous Karst landscape. My understanding is that Xiaoqikong involves a lot of walking and the bridge holes can be slippery, so be sure to wear non-slip shoes; the scenic area is quite large, so it’s best to reserve a whole day to fully enjoy.

Tips: Many mountain paths are slippery, especially downhill—pay attention to shifting your center of gravity and slow your pace, and consider bringing knee pads. Visitors generally note that the clear waters of Xiaoqikong are called the "Emerald of the Earth," and it’s perfect for escaping the summer heat; the walking route is long, so bring some snacks and water. Based on actual conditions, the biggest concern on long trips is dehydration, so carry a water bottle and sip frequently; when arriving in a plateau or mountainous area, avoid long showers or washing your hair on the first night to give your body time to adjust.

Day 4: Huangguoshu Great Waterfall

In the morning, gather and depart for the Huangguoshu Great Waterfall, following the main route with a guide to visit all the key spots, leaving ample time for photos and rest; at noon, enjoy local specialty meals, continue exploring in the afternoon, and check into the hotel in the evening to rest and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: Today's itinerary includes the Huangguoshu Great Waterfall attraction. Huangguoshu Waterfall is located in Anshun, Guizhou, and is one of the largest waterfalls in Asia, over a hundred meters wide and nearly seventy meters high, with a cascade that plunges straight down, creating mist and sounding like thunder, making it a spectacular sight. Behind the waterfall is a water curtain cave, which can be walked through to view the waterfall from the inside, offering a unique experience. In my understanding, the waterfall is most magnificent during the high water period (summer), but there will be a lot of mist and slippery surfaces, so it is recommended to bring a raincoat or waterproof jacket, wear non-slip shoes, and watch your step.

Tips: The mountain paths have many steps and steep slopes, so be sure to wear non-slip sports shoes. Those with limited mobility are advised to use the cable car for ascent and descent. Visitors generally report that the Great Waterfall is spectacular and walking through the water curtain cave is a unique experience; please note that the water curtain cave can get you wet. The Libo Xiaoqikong area involves a lot of walking, so wear non-slip shoes. Depending on the actual situation, keep track of time and arrive five to ten minutes early for gatherings—better to have people wait for the vehicle than the vehicle wait for someone; don't let everyone wait for you.
