Day 1: Xi'anTerracotta Army
The Terracotta Army in Lintong, Xi'an, is a 'eighth wonder' of lifelike warrior figures; Pit 1 is most spectacular. With the mausoleum and bronze chariots, it defines Qin grandeur.
Day 2: Xi'an
Xi'an's Ming city wall is China's most complete ancient rampart (~14 km); cycle or walk atop for the grid-city view. The south-gate ceremony and night lights are must-sees.
Day 3: Tang Paradise
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Ci'en Temple housed Xuanzang's translations. Its north fountain square and south Tang-dynasty night street make a lively evening.
Day 4: Return
The trip winds down: you are transferred to the station/airport per your departure time. If time allows, a last stroll downtown; pack early and check documents. Safe travels!
