Day 1: Sui-Tang Luoyang City

In the morning, gather and set off for Sui-Tang Luoyang City, follow the tour guide to visit the main attractions, allowing plenty of time for taking photos and resting; at noon, enjoy a local specialty meal, and in the evening, check into the hotel to recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: Today's itinerary includes Sui-Tang Luoyang City attractions. Sui-Tang Luoyang City National Heritage Park centers around Yingtian Gate, Mingtang, and Tiantang, restoring the palace grandeur of the Tang Dynasty 'Divine Capital' Luoyang. Yingtian Gate is the south main gate of Sui-Tang Luoyang City, magnificent in scale; climbing it offers a view of the central axis, and at night there is a stunning light show. Mingtang was the 'Ten Thousand Phenomena Divine Palace' during Empress Wu Zetian's time, while Tiantang is a tall tower for Buddhist rituals. The interiors of both buildings restore the splendid furnishings of the Tang court. Walking along Jiuzhou Pool is also pleasant, evoking the grandeur of the royal gardens of the past. This place is closely associated with TV series such as 'Wu Zetian' and 'The Wind Rises in Luoyang' and has become one of the most popular Tang culture check-in spots in Luoyang recent years. My advice is to be sure to visit at night—the lights of Yingtian Gate and Mingtang Tiantang when the lamps are just lit are how the 'Divine Capital' is meant to be seen. Daytime for viewing palace furnishings, nighttime for the light show—two experiences in one day.

Tips: The ancient city attractions are scattered, with a lot of walking and transfers, so it is recommended to wear comfortable flat shoes and plan your route. Visitors generally feel that most of them think Sui-Tang Luoyang City is worth a dedicated trip; it is recommended to slow down, follow the guide, listen to the explanations, and leave time for the details that move you most and the best photo spots. Considering the actual situation, the worst thing about joining a tour is rushing through; listening to the guide is the essence. The cultural stories behind each attraction are often more memorable than the photos, so ask the guide any questions you don’t understand on the spot.

Day 2: Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden

Gather in the morning and depart for Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden, follow the tour guide to visit the main attractions, leaving plenty of time for taking photos and resting; enjoy a local specialty meal at noon, check in to the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the itinerary the next day.

Attraction Introduction: One of the highlights of the itinerary is Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden. Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden is located in Kaifeng and is a Song Dynasty cultural theme park built based on Zhang Zeduan's Northern Song painting 'Along the River During the Qingming Festival'. The park restores the rainbow bridge, Bian River, streets, and taverns from the painting, recreating the bustling life of Dongjing Bianliang. Throughout the day, there are live performances and folk parades in the park, with the most famous being the nighttime water show 'The Dream of Dongjing in the Great Song', which uses light and shadow to recreate the grandeur of the Northern Song capital. During the day, visitors can watch immersive folk performances such as the opening ceremony, official Bao greeting guests, and Mr. Wang entertaining marriage proposals. This is also a paradise for Hanfu enthusiasts; wearing a Song-style Hanfu and walking between the Rainbow Bridge and Bian River makes for stunning ancient-style photos. My understanding is that visitors should first get the performance schedule upon entering, plan must-see shows and the night show, and then explore and eat at leisure; exploring the streets during the day feels most immersive, while the night show is an audio-visual feast, worth watching if the budget allows.

Tips: The food prices in the park are relatively high, so it is advisable to bring water and small snacks and keep personal belongings safe. Tourists generally find exploring the streets during the day the most immersive, while reviews of the night show 'The Dream of Dongjing in the Great Song' are mixed; note that performance tickets are expensive, so choose according to your budget. Depending on the situation, for authentic food, venture deeper into the alleys, as queues at the main gate are long and the taste is average; for souvenirs, ask for the price first and compare, as local supermarkets are often more reliable.

Day 3: Only Henan

Gather in the morning and depart for Only Henan. Follow the guide to visit the main attractions, allowing plenty of time for photos and rest; enjoy a local specialty meal at noon, and check into the hotel in the evening to recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Scenic Spot Introduction: This stop is Only Henan. 'Only Henan·Drama Fantasy City' is located in Zhongmu, Zhengzhou. It is a massive theatrical settlement built with loess, showcasing the hardships, harvests, and resilience of Central Plains civilization through more than 20 theaters and nearly 100 performances. The main theaters' large productions such as 'Fantasy City,' 'Train Station,' and 'Li Family Village' have excellent reputations, while the small theaters each possess unique creativity, with the imagery of wheat waves running throughout, making it a phenomenal cultural tourism landmark of Henan. This is not a traditional tourist spot but an immersive cultural experience. My understanding is that you should reserve a full day, schedule the main theater performances first, and then intersperse visits to the smaller theaters; book tickets in advance through official channels and check the show schedule carefully, as popular performances often sell out.

Tips: Signal may be poor inside the canyon, so arrange a meeting point with your guide in advance and avoid acting alone. Visitors generally feedback that the immersive experience at Drama Fantasy City is popular with young people, but it is expensive and time-consuming; focus on the key theaters and reserve at least half a day. Based on actual conditions, manage your energy: tackle the main attractions in the morning when you are fresh, slow down in the afternoon, and avoid exhausting yourself on the first day so you have energy for the next few days.
