Day 1: Laojun Mountain

Gather in the morning and depart for Laojun Mountain, follow the guide to visit core attractions, and allow ample time for photos and rest; Enjoy local specialties at noon, check into the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction introduction: Today's itinerary includes Laojun Mountain attractions, located in Luanchuan County, Luoyang, the main peak of Funiu Mountain and a famous Taoist mountain, said to be the place where Laozi, the founder of Taoism, retired for cultivation. The Golden Summit Taoist temple complex stands atop a peak over 2,000 meters above sea level, with golden tiles and red walls and surging clouds, earning it the reputation of "traveling far to witness the world's grandeur." The Ten-Mile Painted Screen is the highlight of the entire trip: a high-altitude plank road suspended on a sheer cliff changes views with every step, offering views of peaks, forests, sea of clouds, and sunrise. You can take a two-level cable car up the mountain; on sunny days, you can watch the sea of clouds and sunrise from the summit, while in winter, it is a highly popular snow-viewing spot in the Central Plains. My understanding is: be sure to take the cable car up the mountain early to seize the golden summit and the beautiful scenery of the Ten-Mile Painting Screen; At the summit, the wind is strong and the temperature low; a windbreaker and thermos bottle are standard, and the glass observation deck is a must-have.

Friendly reminder: The mountain area has large temperature differences between morning and evening, and the wind at the summit is strong. A windproof jacket and warm inner layer are very necessary. Visitors generally report that the sea of clouds and sunrise at the Golden Summit are recognized as the biggest highlights, with many people staying at the summit waiting for dawn. Reminder: The large temperature difference at the summit and long cable car queues are essential, so be sure to arrive early during peak season. Based on actual conditions, don't just focus on taking photos; pay attention to your footing and surroundings. Be sure to stand firmly on the viewing platform and boardwalk edges.

Day 2: Baiyun Mountain

Gather in the morning and depart for Baiyun Mountain, follow the guide to visit core attractions, and allow plenty of time for photos and rest; Enjoy local specialties at noon, check into the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction introduction: Today's itinerary includes Baiyun Mountain attractions. Located deep in the heart of Funiu Mountain in Song County, Yuhuang Peak offers views of clouds and sunrise. It has a high forest coverage rate and abundant negative oxygen ions, making it a natural oxygen bar. Within the scenic area, Jiulong Waterfall and the alpine peony garden each have their own unique features. Summer retreats and autumn foliage viewing make it one of the few high-altitude resort destinations in Henan. Taking the cable car or scenic shuttle connects various points. The mountain top offers a wide view and swirling clouds, like a fairyland. My understanding is that summer is the best time to escape the heat, as the coolness in the mountains contrasts sharply with the city's scorching heat; Climbing Yuhuang Peak early to watch the sea of clouds and sunrise requires a bit of luck, but even if you can't see the sunrise, the mountain scenery in the morning mist is still beautiful.

Friendly reminder: The mountain roads are slippery, so be sure to shift your center of gravity and slow down on the downhill. You may need a pair of knee pads. Visitors generally report that most think Baiyun Mountain is worth a special trip. It's recommended to slow down and follow the guide to the explanation, saving time for the most impressive details and camera spots. Depending on the situation, shoot early or late—mornings with few people and gentle light, golden sunset for best photos; noon tops are cramped and flat, so it's more cost-effective to rest.

Day 3: Yuntai Mountain

Gather in the morning and depart for Yuntai Mountain, follow the guide to visit key attractions, and allow enough time for photos and rest; Enjoy local specialties at noon, check into the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction introduction: Today's itinerary includes Yuntai Mountain Scenic Spot, located in Xiuwu at Jiaozuo, one of the first World Geoparks. It is famous for the red cliffs and clear waters of Hongshi Gorge, the flying waterfalls of Tanpu Gorge, the Yuntai Sky Waterfall known as Asia's highest waterfall in Quanpu Gorge, and the sea of clouds and sunrises at Zhuyu Peak. It is the most representative landscape of southern Taihang foothills. Hongshi Gorge is the essence of highlights, a red quartz sandstone canyon about two kilometers long, with winding green water at the valley floor and cliffs red like rosy clouds; Zhuyu Peak is famous for the Tang Dynasty poet Wang Wei's poem "Planting cornelian cherry everywhere, one person misses." Taking the cable car to the top offers a panoramic view of the Taihang peaks. Shuttle buses connect various points within the scenic area, and the trails are gentle, suitable for family outings. My understanding is that if you can't finish the trip in one day, first secure the two core areas: Hongshi Gorge and Monkey Valley. If the line for scenic bus delivery is long, allow plenty of time; In summer, enjoy the water and cool scenery; in autumn, the forests are colorful—each has its own charm.

Friendly reminder: The hiking section has many steps and steep slopes, so be sure to wear non-slip sports shoes. Those with mobility difficulties are advised to take the cable car up and down. Visitors generally say that Hongshi Gorge is recognized as the most photogenic section, and the sea of clouds at Zhuyu Peak is also worth it. Remind the long line for scenic delivery buses: if you can't finish the trip in one day, prioritize Hongshi Gorge + Monkey Valley. Based on actual conditions, dehydration is the worst on long trips; carry a water bottle and drink water in small amounts frequently; On the first night in plateau or mountainous areas, don't wash your hair or shower too long, giving your body some room to adjust.
