Day 1: Wangcheng Park

Gather in the morning and depart for Wangcheng Park, follow the tour guide to visit the main attractions, allowing ample time for photos and rest; enjoy local specialty dishes at noon, check in at the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: A highlight of the itinerary is Wangcheng Park. Wangcheng Park is located in Luoyang and is named for being situated on the ruins of the Eastern Zhou royal city. It is one of the main venues for China's Luoyang Peony Culture Festival over the years and is also the city park most familiar to Luoyang residents. Every April, famous peony varieties such as Yao Huang, Wei Zi, and Zhao Fen bloom in the park, displaying a spectacular array of colors; the park also preserves the ruins of the Zhou royal city and a zoo, combining historical depth with leisure functions. It is a classic spot for tourists to visit the 'Peony Flower City.' In my understanding, if visiting during the peony season (April), this place should definitely be on the must-visit list. Early morning sees fewer people, and the dewy peonies are at their most delicate; off-season, it is more suitable for a leisurely walk.

Tips: Food prices inside the park tend to be high, so it is appropriate to bring water and snacks and take care of your belongings. Tourists generally feedback that most consider Wangcheng Park worth a special visit. It is recommended to slow down, follow the guide's explanations, and leave time for the details that move you the most and the best photo spots. Considering the actual situation, group tours are most problematic when rushed; listening to the guide is the essence. The cultural stories behind each attraction are often more memorable than photos, so ask the guide on the spot if you have any questions.

Day 2: Jiguan Cave

Assemble in the morning and set off for Jiguan Cave, follow the guide to tour the main attractions, allowing ample time for photos and rest; enjoy a local specialty lunch at noon, check into the hotel in the evening, and rest up to prepare for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: This stop is Jiguan Cave. Jiguan Cave is a karst cave in Luanchuan. Inside the cave, the stalactites take on various shapes. Stalagmites, stone pillars, and stone flowers transform into gorgeous colors under the lights. The cave maintains a constant temperature all year round, warm in winter and cool in summer. Attractions inside the cave are dense, and as you move, the scenery changes; with the guide's explanation, you can understand the miraculous craftsmanship of geological changes over hundreds of millions of years. It complements Longtan Grand Canyon with its cave and gorge, forming a classic geological wonder route in western Henan. My understanding is, when entering the cave, remember to follow the guide; the formation and naming of the stalactites are very interesting, and it's easy to miss the highlights if you explore on your own. The ground inside the cave is slippery, and some areas are low, so wear non-slip shoes and watch your head.

Warm Tips: Many mountain paths are slippery. Pay special attention to shifting your weight backward and slowing down when going downhill, and consider bringing knee pads. Most visitors feel that Jiguan Cave is worth a special visit; it is recommended to slow down, follow the guide for explanations, and leave time for the details that touch you the most and the best photo spots. Based on the actual situation, if you want authentic food, go deeper into the alleys. The lines at the main entrance of the attractions are long and the taste is average. For local specialties, ask the price and compare; local supermarkets often offer more genuine products.

Day 3: Chongdugou

Gather in the morning and set off for Chongdugou, follow the guide to visit the main attractions, allowing ample time for taking photos and resting; enjoy local specialty cuisine at noon, check in to the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: Today's itinerary includes Chongdugou attractions. Chongdugou is located in Luanchuan and is renowned for its vast bamboo forests, cascading waterfalls, streams, and the agricultural scenery of western Henan. It is one of the few 'Jiangnan water town'-style summer resorts in Henan. The scenic area is divided into two zones: Jinjih River and Dicui River. Jinjih River is famous for its waterfalls, with splashing water and a refreshing atmosphere; Dicui River features continuous bamboo forests, where walking among them offers lush greenery all around. Here, visitors can stay in farmhouse accommodations, try wild mountain vegetables, and experience the authentic life of western Henan villages at a leisurely pace, making it particularly suitable for family slow travel and summer vacations. My understanding is to slow down and not rush through the attractions—walking in the bamboo forest or sitting by the stream is the proper way to enjoy Chongdugou; visiting in summer is the most comfortable, as it is cool enough to make you not want to leave.

Tips: The water areas along the canyon are slippery, so make sure to wear anti-slip creek shoes or sports shoes, and take measures to waterproof valuables such as mobile phones. Tourist feedback generally indicates that most visitors believe Chongdugou is worth a special trip. It is recommended to slow down, listen to the guide's explanations, and leave time for the details that move you most and the best photo spots. Depending on your situation, manage your energy carefully: visit the main highlights in the morning when you are fresh, slow down in the afternoon, and avoid overexertion on the first day so that you will have energy for the following days.
