Day 1: Sui-Tang Luoyang City

In the morning, gather and depart for Sui-Tang Luoyang City, follow the tour guide to visit the main attractions, allowing plenty of time for taking photos and resting; at noon, enjoy a local specialty meal, and in the evening, check into the hotel to recharge and prepare for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: Today's itinerary includes Sui-Tang Luoyang City attractions. Sui-Tang Luoyang City National Heritage Park centers around Yingtian Gate, Ming Tang, and Tiantang, restoring the palace grandeur of the prosperous Tang Dynasty 'Divine Capital' Luoyang. Yingtian Gate is the main southern gate of Sui-Tang Luoyang City, majestic in scale; climbing the tower allows a view down the central axis, and at night there is a stunning light show. Ming Tang was the 'Palace of Ten Thousand Phenomena' during Wu Zetian's time, while Tiantang is a tall tower for Buddhist rituals; the interiors of both buildings restore the magnificent furnishings of the Tang court. Walking along Jiuzhou Pool is also pleasant, evoking the grandeur of the royal gardens of the past. This place is closely associated with TV series such as 'Wu Zetian' and 'The Wind Rises in Luoyang' and has become one of the most popular Tang culture check-in spots in Luoyang recent years. My advice is to be sure to visit at night—the lights of Yingtian Gate and Ming Tang Tiantang are how the 'Divine Capital' should truly look when the lamps are first lit; visit the palace interiors during the day, and enjoy the light show at night for two different experiences in one day.

Tips: Ancient capital attractions are spread out, with a lot of walking and transfers, so it is recommended to wear comfortable flat shoes and plan your route. Visitors generally feel that most of them think Sui-Tang Luoyang City is worth a dedicated trip; it is recommended to slow down, follow the guide, and listen to the explanations, leaving time for the details that move you most and the best photo spots. Considering practical situations, on long trips the biggest risk is dehydration—carry a water bottle and drink small amounts frequently; on the first night in highlands or mountainous areas, do not wash your hair or take long baths, to give your body time to adjust.

Day 2: Baiyun Mountain

Assemble in the morning and depart for Baiyun Mountain. Follow the tour guide to visit the main attractions, allowing ample time for taking photos and resting; enjoy a local specialty meal at noon, and check into the hotel in the evening to recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: Today's itinerary includes Baiyun Mountain attractions. Baiyun Mountain is located in the heart of Funiu Mountain in Song County. At Yuhuang Peak, you can watch the sunrise over the sea of clouds. The area has a high forest coverage and abundant negative ions, making it a natural oxygen bar. Within the scenic area, Jiulong Waterfall and the Alpine Peony Garden each have their own unique features. It is an ideal mountain resort area, attracting visitors for summer cooling and autumn leaf viewing. You can take a cable car or scenic shuttle bus to connect various points. The mountaintop offers expansive views with mist swirling around, like a fairyland. In my view, visiting in summer to escape the heat is best, as the cool mountain air contrasts sharply with the city heat. Waking up early to climb Yuhuang Peak for the sunrise over the sea of clouds requires some luck, but even if you miss the sunrise, the mountainous scenery in the morning mist is beautiful enough.

Tips: There is a large temperature difference between morning and evening in the mountains, and the mountaintop can be windy, so a windproof jacket and warm inner layers are necessary. Visitors generally report that most think Baiyun Mountain is worth a special trip. It is recommended to slow down, follow the guide for explanations, and leave time for the details that touch you the most and the best spots for photos. In practice, be punctual, arrive five to ten minutes before assembly, as it's better for people to wait for the vehicle than the vehicle for people; don’t make everyone wait for you.

Day 3: Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden

Gather in the morning and depart for Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden, following the guide to visit the main attractions, leaving ample time for photography and rest; enjoy a local specialty meal at noon, check into the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: A highlight of the itinerary is Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden. Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden is located in Kaifeng and is a Song Dynasty culture theme park built based on Zhang Zeduan's "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" from the Northern Song Dynasty. The Rainbow Bridge, Bian River, marketplace, and taverns from the painting are all recreated, reflecting the bustling city life of Dongjing Bianliang. The park offers live performances and folk parades throughout the day, with the most famous being the nighttime water performance "Great Song: Dongjing Dream," which uses light and shadow to recreate the grandeur of the Northern Song capital. During the day, visitors can watch immersive folk performances such as the opening ceremony, Bao Gong welcoming guests, and Wang Yuanwai's matchmaking. This is also a paradise for Hanfu enthusiasts; wearing a Song-style Hanfu while walking between Rainbow Bridge and Bian River is perfect for ancient-style photo shoots. My understanding is that upon entering the park, you should first get the performance schedule, plan the must-see performances and nighttime show, and then leisurely explore and eat. Visiting the marketplace during the day is the most immersive experience, while the nighttime show is a visual and auditory feast, worth seeing if the budget allows.

Tips: When visiting the park with children, be aware of the risk of getting separated. Agree on a meeting point in advance and prepare contact cards for the children. Visitors generally report that exploring the marketplace during the day feels the most immersive, while the nighttime show "Great Song: Dongjing Dream" has mixed reviews. Note that performance tickets are relatively expensive, so make choices according to your budget. Based on actual circumstances, when taking photos, don’t focus solely on getting good shots; pay attention to your feet and surrounding environment, and make sure to hold on and stand securely at viewing platforms and boardwalk edges.
