Day 1: Jiguan Cave

Gather in the morning and depart for Jiguan Cave, follow the guide to visit key attractions, and allow plenty of time for photos and rest; Enjoy local specialties at noon, check into the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's activities.

Attraction introduction: This stop is Jiguan Cave. Jiguan Cave is the karst cave in Luanchuan. Inside, stalactites are varied in countless shapes, with stalagmites, pillars, and flowers illuminating the lights to create stunning colors. The temperature remains pleasant year-round, and the weather is warm in winter and cool in summer. The cave is densely packed with scenic spots, with changing views as you walk. With explanations, you can understand the wonders of geological changes over hundreds of millions of years. It complements Longtan Grand Canyon with a cave and a gorge, making it a classic geological wonder route in western Henan. My understanding is that when entering the cave, remember to follow the guide. The formation and naming of stalactites are quite interesting, and it's easy to miss the highlights when you look at them yourself; The cave floor is slippery and some areas are low, so wear non-slip shoes and watch your head.

Friendly reminder: The hiking section has many steps and steep slopes, so be sure to wear non-slip sports shoes. Those with mobility difficulties are advised to take the cable car up and down. Visitors generally report that Jiguan Cave is worth a special trip. It is recommended to slow down and follow the guide to listen to the explanation, saving time for the most impressive details and the best camera spots. Based on actual circumstances, don't shop impulsively. When you see a "limited-time offer," take three minutes to calm down; If you really want to bring souvenirs, make sure to buy a reputable store and keep your receipt for peace of mind.

Day 2: Baiyun Mountain

Gather in the morning and depart for Baiyun Mountain, follow the guide to visit core attractions, and allow plenty of time for photos and rest; Enjoy local specialties at noon, check into the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's activities.

Attraction introduction: Today's itinerary includes Baiyun Mountain attractions. Located deep in the heart of Funiu Mountain in Song County, Yuhuang Peak offers views of clouds and sunrise. It has a high forest coverage rate and abundant negative oxygen ions, making it a natural oxygen bar. Within the scenic area, Jiulong Waterfall and the alpine peony garden each have their own unique features. Summer retreats and autumn foliage viewing make it one of the few high-altitude resort destinations in Henan. Taking the cable car or scenic shuttle connects various points. The mountain top offers a wide view and swirling clouds, like a fairyland. My understanding is that summer is the best time to escape the heat, as the coolness in the mountains contrasts sharply with the city's scorching heat; Climbing Yuhuang Peak early to watch the sea of clouds and sunrise requires a bit of luck, but even if you can't see the sunrise, the mountain scenery in the morning mist is still beautiful.

Friendly reminder: In mountainous areas, there is a large temperature difference between morning and evening, and the wind at the summit is strong. A windproof jacket and warm inner layer are very necessary. Visitors generally report that most think Baiyun Mountain is worth a special trip. It's recommended to slow down and follow the guide to listen to the explanations, saving time for the most impressive details and the best camera angles. Based on actual circumstances, keep your documents and wallet separate. Take photos of important documents and keep them on your phone for backup. If lost, you can quickly reissue them without delaying your trip.

Day 3: Longmen Grottoes

Gather in the morning and depart for Longmen Grottoes, follow the guide to visit key attractions, and allow plenty of time for photos and rest; Enjoy local specialties at noon, check into the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction introduction: Today's itinerary includes Longmen Grottoes attractions, carved into the cliffs on both banks of the Yi River south of Luoyang city. Since Emperor Xiaowen of Northern Wei moved the capital to Luoyang, construction has continued through the Eastern Wei, Western Wei, Northern Qi, Sui, and Tang dynasties. Currently, there are over 2,300 cave niches, over 100,000 statues, and more than 2,800 inscriptions and inscriptions. The most impressive is the Vairocana Buddha at Fengxian Temple, standing over 17 meters tall, with a plump face and kind-looking eyes. Legend has it that it was carved after the likeness of Empress Wu Zetian and represents the pinnacle of Tang dynasty stone carving art. Along with Dunhuang Mogao Caves and Datong Yungang, it is known as one of China's three great grottoes and a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. When touring, head south along the Yi River trail from the Xishan Grottoes, where Binyang Three Caves, Ten Thousand Buddha Caves, and Lotus Cave each have highlights. Cross the bridge to the Dongshan Buddha Worship Platform for a panoramic view. My understanding is that in the morning, first visit the main cave of Xishan and admire the Big Buddha while there are fewer people; in the afternoon, go to the Dongshan Viewing Platform for the best lighting and angle; If you need to walk backward along both banks of the Yi River, a pair of comfortable shoes can save you a lot of effort.

Friendly reminder: Grottoes are mostly built along cliffs. When viewing, keep a distance from the cliff walls, hold onto the railings, and take care of the elderly and children. Visitors generally report that most find the Vairocana Buddha the most breathtaking, and the best light at sunset on the Western Hills; If you need to walk back along both banks of the Yi River, it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and reserve half a day. Depending on the situation, bring some change and small packs of snacks to help during poor signal or emergency resupply. Don't wait until you're hungry to find them.
