Day 1: Jiguan Cave

Gather in the morning and depart for Jiguan Cave, follow the guide to visit key attractions, and allow plenty of time for photos and rest; Enjoy local specialties at noon, then check into the hotel in the evening to recharge and prepare for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction introduction: This stop is Jiguan Cave. Jiguan Cave is the karst cave in Luanchuan. Inside, stalactites are varied in countless shapes, with stalagmites, pillars, and flowers illuminating the lights to create stunning colors. The temperature remains pleasant year-round, and the weather is warm in winter and cool in summer. The cave is densely packed with scenic spots, with changing views as you walk. With explanations, you can understand the wonders of geological changes over hundreds of millions of years. It complements Longtan Grand Canyon with a cave and a gorge, making it a classic geological wonder route in western Henan. My understanding is that when entering the cave, remember to follow the guide. The formation and naming of stalactites are quite interesting, and it's easy to miss the highlights when you look at them yourself; The cave floor is slippery and some areas are low, so wear non-slip shoes and watch your head.

Friendly reminder: The mountain roads are slippery, so be sure to shift your center of gravity and slow down on the downhill. It's a good idea to bring a pair of knee pads. Visitors generally report that Jiguan Cave is worth a special trip. It's recommended to slow down and follow the guide to listen to the explanation, saving time for the details that impress you most and the best camera angles. Depending on the situation, it's best to shoot early or late—the morning is quiet and the golden light is best for photos, and the noon top is cramped and flat, so it's more cost-effective to rest.

Day 2: Chongdugou

Assemble in the morning and depart for Chongdugou, follow the tour guide to visit the main attractions, allowing ample time for taking photos and resting; at noon, enjoy local specialty meals, and in the evening, check into the hotel to recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction introduction: Today's itinerary includes the Chongdugou attraction. Chongdugou is located in Luanchuan and is famous for its vast bamboo forests, waterfalls, streams, and the farming culture of western Henan. It is a rare 'Jiangnan water town' style place for summer leisure. The scenic area is divided into two zones: Jinjih River and Dicui River. Jinjih River is known for its waterfalls, with splashing water and a refreshing atmosphere; Dicui River features continuous bamboo forests, where walking among them offers lush greenery all around. Here, visitors can stay in farmhouse accommodations, try wild mountain vegetables, and experience the authentic life of western Henan mountain villages. The pace is slow, particularly suitable for family leisure travel and summer vacations. My understanding is to slow down and not rush through the attractions—walking in the bamboo forest or sitting by the stream is the proper way to enjoy Chongdugou; visiting in summer is most comfortable, with a coolness that makes you reluctant to leave.

Friendly tips: The canyon water trail is slippery, so be sure to wear anti-slip shoes or sports shoes, and take waterproof protection for phones and other valuables. Most visitors report that Chongdugou is worth visiting specifically, and it is recommended to slow down, listen to the guide's explanation, and leave time for the details that move you most and the best photo spots. In practical terms, dehydration is the biggest concern on long trips, so carry a water bottle and drink small amounts frequently; on the first night at high altitudes or mountainous areas, avoid washing your hair or bathing for too long to give your body time to acclimate.

Day 3: Wangcheng Park

Assemble in the morning and depart for Wangcheng Park. Follow the tour guide to visit the main attractions, allowing ample time for photography and rest; enjoy a local specialty lunch at noon, and check into the hotel in the evening to recharge for the next day’s itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: One highlight arranged in the itinerary is Wangcheng Park. Wangcheng Park is located in Luoyang. It is named after its location on the ruins of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty royal city. It has been one of the main venues for consecutive Chinese Luoyang Peony Culture Festivals and is also the city park most familiar to the residents of Luoyang. Every April, renowned peony varieties such as Yaohuang, Weizi, and Zhaofen bloom in competition, creating a stunning display of rich colors. The park also preserves the Zhou Royal City ruins and a zoo, combining historical significance with leisure functions, making it a classic spot for tourists to experience the 'Peony Flower City.' In my view, if you come during peony season (April), this place must be listed as a must-visit destination. In the early morning, when there are fewer people, the peonies with dew are the most delicate; outside the bloom season, it is more suitable for a leisurely walk.

Tips: The food inside the park is relatively expensive, so it is appropriate to bring water and small snacks and take care of your personal belongings. Tourists generally feedback that most visitors think Wangcheng Park is worth a special trip. It is recommended to slow down, follow the guide for explanations, and leave time for the details that move you the most and the best photo spots. Considering actual conditions, be punctual, arrive five to ten minutes early for assembly, as it is better for people to wait for the vehicle than the vehicle to wait for people—don’t make everyone wait for you.
