Day 1: Jiaozuo

Gather in the morning and depart for Guoliang Village, follow the guide to visit key attractions, and allow plenty of time for photos and rest; Enjoy local specialties at noon, check into the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction introduction: Today's itinerary includes Jiaozuo attractions, Jiaozuo and the Yuntai Mountain Global Geopark, Red Stone Gorge's red cliffs and clear waters, pools and waterfalls and flowing springs, and Zhuyu Peak's sea of clouds and sunrises—the ultimate collection of the essence of Taihang mountains and waters. My understanding is that hiking should be done within your means. Cable cars should be saved if possible, but those with knee problems shouldn't force themselves to hik—the scenery is not about forcing yourself.

Friendly reminder: The mountain roads are quite slippery, so be sure to shift your weight back and slow down on the downhill. You can bring a pair of knee pads. Visitors generally report that Jiaozuo is worth a special trip. It's recommended to slow down and follow the guide to the explanation, saving time for the most impressive details and the best camera angles. Based on actual conditions, if you want authentic food, head deeper into the alleys. The main entrance has long lines and average taste; Ask about prices before comparing local specialties, and local supermarkets are often more authentic.

Day 2: Guoliang Village

Gather in the morning and depart for Wanxian Mountain, follow the guide to visit core attractions, and allow enough time for photos and rest; Enjoy local specialties at noon, check into the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction introduction: One of the highlights of the itinerary is Guoliang Village. Guoliang Village is hidden deep within the sheer cliffs of the Taihang Mountains and is famous worldwide for its 'Cliff-Hanging Road.' In the 1970s, villagers worked to open a passage with the outside world, and without any large machinery, spent over five years carving a tunnel about 1,300 meters long on the cliff face—a miracle known as the 'Modern Foolish Old Man.' Today, this cliff-hanging road is the most must-see spot in the Taihang Mountains, offering views of the deep abyss and canyon villages along the way. Guoliang Village It's also known as the 'Chinese Film Village' because many TV dramas have filmed here. My understanding is that when walking the Cliff-Hanging Road, you should allow plenty of time to watch and take photos while watching and paying attention to your steps and passing vehicles; Early morning or evening is best for lighting; midday is rather plain. Wear non-slip shoes and avoid getting too close to the cliff.

Friendly reminder: The ancient town's bluestone paths are narrow and slippery, so be sure to wear non-slip flat shoes and pay attention to slipping in the morning and evening. Visitors generally report that the cliffside stone village is connected to the cliffside road, and the filming location has its own storytelling; Reminder: Village food and accommodation are simple, so lower expectations for more enjoyment. Based on actual conditions, leave some time for physical activity: focus on the main event in the morning and slow down in the afternoon to avoid overexertion on the first day and fatigue in the following days.

Day 3: Wanxian Mountain

Gather in the morning and depart for Yuntai Mountain, follow the guide to visit core attractions, and allow enough time for photos and rest; Enjoy local specialties at noon, check into the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction introduction: One of the highlights included in the itinerary is Wanxian Mountain. Wanxian Mountain Scenic Area is located deep in the Taihang Mountains of Huixian, with the Guoliang Cliff Highway and Nanpingdan Branch both within it. The red cliffs intertwine with waterfalls and clear pools, making it one of the most iconic landscape galleries of the Taihang Mountains. This area is famous for filming many TV dramas. Attractions like Guoliang Village, Tianchi, and Blockhouse form a stunning Taihang hiking route. The summer temperatures are pleasant, and it's a place not far from Zhengzhou and Luoyang that you can get close to the Taihang landscape. My understanding is that the hike is heavy and there are many steps, so be sure to wear non-slip shoes; Watch out for passing traffic along the cliff-hanging road; early morning and evening light makes the red cliffs the best for photos.

Friendly reminder: The mountain area has large temperature differences between morning and evening, and strong winds at the summit. A windproof jacket and warm inner layer are very necessary. Visitors generally report that the cliff-hanging road (Guoliang Cave) is the most stunning and photogenic, and the mountain roads often cause motion sickness. Reminder: Prepare motion sickness medicine and walk slowly on the viewing platform. Considering the actual situation and respecting local customs, dress appropriately when entering religious sites without giving casual advice; a simple greeting can be met with goodwill.
