Day 1: Guoliang Village

Today's Guoliang Village Taihang trip focuses on the cliff-hanging road and the film village, then offers distant views of the canyon village; Afternoon reshoot, evening rest.

Attraction introduction: One of the highlights of the itinerary is Guoliang Village. Guoliang Village is hidden deep within the sheer cliffs of the Taihang Mountains and is famous worldwide for its 'Cliff-Hanging Road.' In the 1970s, villagers worked to open a passage to the outside world, and without any large machinery, spent over five years carving a tunnel about 1,300 meters long into the cliff face—a miracle known as the 'Modern Foolish Old Man.' Today, this cliff-hanging road is the most must-see photo spot in the Taihang Mountains, offering views of the deep abyss and canyon villages along the way. Guoliang Village It is also called the 'Chinese Film Village' because many TV dramas have filmed here. My understanding is that when walking the wall-hanging road, you should allow plenty of time to watch and take photos, and pay attention to your steps and passing vehicles; Early morning or evening is best for lighting; midday is rather plain. Wear non-slip shoes and avoid getting too close to the cliff.

Friendly reminder: The ancient town's bluestone paths are narrow and slippery, so be sure to wear non-slip flat shoes and be careful to avoid slipping in the morning and evening. Visitors generally report that the cliff-top stone village is connected to the cliffside road, and the filming location has its own story. Reminder: Village food and accommodation are simple, so lower expectations and enjoy more. Based on actual conditions, shoot early or late—the morning is best with few people and gentle light, and the golden glow at dusk is best for photos. At noon, the top is cramped and flat, so it's more cost-effective to rest.

Day 2: Yuntai Mountain

Enter in the morning, take the scenic shuttle to visit Hongshixia and Danxia first, then walk through Tanpu Gorge and Layered Waters; Have a light lunch at the scenic area in the afternoon, climb Zhuyu Peak or stroll through Quanpu Gorge in the afternoon, and return to the hotel in the evening.

Attraction introduction: Today's itinerary includes Yuntai Mountain Scenic Spot, located in Xiuwu at Jiaozuo, one of the first World Geoparks. It is famous for the red cliffs and clear waters of Hongshi Gorge, the flying waterfalls of Tanpu Gorge, the Yuntai Sky Waterfall known as Asia's highest waterfall in Quanpu Gorge, and the sea of clouds and sunrises at Zhuyu Peak. It is the most representative landscape of southern Taihang foothills. Hongshi Gorge is the essence of highlights, a red quartz sandstone canyon about two kilometers long, with winding green water at the valley floor and cliffs red like rosy clouds; Zhuyu Peak is famous for the Tang Dynasty poet Wang Wei's poem "Planting cornelian cherry everywhere, one person misses." Taking the cable car to the top offers a panoramic view of the Taihang peaks. Shuttle buses connect various points within the scenic area, and the trails are gentle, suitable for family outings. My understanding is that if you can't finish the trip in one day, first secure the two core areas: Hongshi Gorge and Monkey Valley. If the line for scenic bus delivery is long, allow plenty of time; In summer, enjoy the water and cool scenery; in autumn, the forests are colorful—each has its own charm.

Friendly reminder: The temperature difference between morning and evening in mountainous areas is large, and the wind at the summit is strong, so a windproof jacket and warm inner layer are very necessary. Visitors generally say that Hongshi Gorge is recognized as the most photogenic section, and the sea of clouds at Zhuyu Peak is also worth it; Reminder: If you can't finish the bus in one day, prioritize Hongshi Gorge + Monkey Valley. Based on actual conditions, the biggest concern on long trips is dehydration: carry a water bottle and drink water in small amounts multiple times; Don't wash your hair or shower too long on the first night in the plateau or mountains to allow your body some time to adjust.

Day 3: Taihang Grand Canyon

Depart from the hotel early in the morning and head straight to Taihang Grand Canyon, first listen to the guide's explanation of the background and highlights, then enjoy a leisurely tour and take photos of cameras based on your interests; After lunch, rest briefly and return to the hotel in the evening to recharge for the next day.

Attraction introduction: A highlight of the itinerary is Taihang Grand Canyon,Taihang Grand Canyon stretches across the border of Jin-Ji-Henan, and Red Flag Canal passes through the mountains. Peach Blossom Valley, Wangxiang Rock, and the Taihang Sky Road connect majestic and beautiful scenery, representing a concentrated showcase of Taihang's scenery. Peach Blossom Valley is famous for its waterfalls and flowing springs, Wangxiang Rock is famous for its sheer cliff walkways, and the Taihang Sky Road offers scenic views and panoramic canyon views. In spring, the mountains are in full bloom; in autumn, the forests are colorful—each season has its own highlights. My understanding is that the scenic area is large and the attractions are scattered, so it's essential to plan the routes well and prioritize core attractions; Hold up the railings on the steep boardwalks, and those who fear heights should walk within their means.

Friendly reminder: Signal in the canyon may be poor. Agree with the guide in advance at the meeting point and avoid acting alone. Visitors generally report that Peach Blossom Valley's water scenery is tranquil and the Taihang Heavenly Road is steep, so visitors say every step reveals a new view; Reminder: Passengers must take the bus when picking up the scenic spot, as weather greatly affects the experience. Based on actual circumstances, be punctual. Gather five to ten minutes early. Better to wait for the bus than for the car—don't make everyone wait for you.

Day 4: Yin Ruins

Today's Yin Ruins Origin Exploration Trip: focus on the oracle bone discovery site and the story of the Stepmother Wuding, and explore the Shang Dynasty capital with the museum displays; Afternoon free reshoot, evening rest and rest.

Attraction introduction: Today's itinerary includes Yin Ruins attractions. Yin Ruins is the ruins of the late Shang capital located at Anyang, the hometown of oracle bone inscriptions, and the excavation site of the Houmuwu Ding (originally called Simuwu Ding). It was listed as a World Cultural Heritage site in 2006. This was once the capital of the Shang Dynasty after Pan Geng moved to Yin, lasting over 270 years. Palace and ancestral temple ruins, royal tombs, and chariot pits are clearly visible. Oracle bone script was first discovered here, tracing China's trusted history back to the Shang dynasty; The new building of the Yin Ruins Museum systematically displays bronzes, jade, oracle bones, and other artifacts, serving as the most direct classroom for understanding Shang civilization. My understanding is that first visit palaces, ancestral temple sites, and chariot pits to establish spatial concepts, then visit museums to appreciate artifacts in detail; only when these two lines connect is it complete; Oracle bone script and bronze artifacts are the essence; walking through the explanation is far better than just skimming through.

Friendly reminder: The hiking section has many steps and steep slopes, so be sure to wear non-slip sports shoes. Those with mobility difficulties are advised to take the cable car up and down. Visitors generally report that oracle bone script and Simuwu Ding bring history to life, and visitors say the new museum is more valuable than the open-air site; Reminder: You need to combine explanations to understand the details. Based on actual conditions, don't just focus on taking photos; pay attention to your feet and surroundings, and be sure to stand firmly at the edges of the viewing platform and boardwalk.
