Day 1: Jiaozuo

Early in the morning, head straight from the hotel to Wanxian Mountain, first listen to the guide's explanation of the background and highlights, then enjoy a leisurely tour and take additional camera positions according to your interests; After lunch, take a short rest, then return to the hotel in the evening to recharge for the next day.

Attraction introduction: Today's itinerary includes Jiaozuo attractions, Jiaozuo and the Yuntai Mountain Global Geopark, Red Stone Gorge's red cliffs and clear waters, pools and waterfalls and flowing springs, and Zhuyu Peak's sea of clouds and sunrises—the ultimate collection of the essence of Taihang mountains and waters. My understanding is that hiking should be done within your means. Cable cars should be saved if possible, but those with knee problems shouldn't force themselves to hik—the scenery is not about forcing yourself.

Friendly reminder: The mountain roads are slippery, so be sure to shift your weight back and slow down when going downhill. Prepare a pair of knee pads. Visitors generally agree that Jiaozuo is worth a special trip. It's recommended to slow down and follow the guide to listen to the explanations, saving time for the most impressive details and camera angles. Based on actual conditions, don't just focus on taking photos; pay attention to your footing and surroundings. Be sure to stand firmly on the viewing platform and the edges of the boardwalk.

Day 2: Wanxian Mountain

Today's Guoliang Village Taihang trip focuses on the cliff-hanging road and the film village, then offers distant views of canyon villages; Afternoon reshoots, evening rest.

Attraction introduction: One of the highlights included in the itinerary is Wanxian Mountain. Wanxian Mountain is located deep within the Taihang Mountains in Huixian, with the Guoliang Cliff Highway and Nanpingdan Valley. The red cliffs intertwine with waterfalls and clear pools, making it one of the most iconic landscape galleries of the Taihang Mountains. This area is famous for filming many TV dramas. Attractions like Guoliang Village, Tianchi, and Fortresses form a stunning Taihang hiking route. The summer temperatures are pleasant, making it a place not far from Zhengzhou and Luoyang that you can get close to the Taihang landscape. My understanding is that the hike is heavy and there are many steps, so be sure to wear non-slip shoes; Watch out for passing vehicles along the cliff-hanging road; early morning and evening light makes the red cliffs the best for photos.

Friendly reminder: The climbing section has many steps and steep slopes, so be sure to wear non-slip sports shoes. Those with mobility difficulties are advised to take the cable car up and down. Visitors generally report that the cliff-hanging road (Guoliang Cave) is the most stunning and photogenic, and mountain roads often cause motion sickness. Prepare motion sickness medicine and walk slowly on the viewing platform to take care. Depending on the situation, take photos early or late—early mornings with few people and soft light, golden glow at dusk for best photos; noon tops are cramped and flat, so it's more cost-effective to rest.
