Day 1: Huangguoshu

Assemble in the morning and depart for Huangguoshu. Follow the guide along the main route, visiting all the key spots, leaving ample time for taking photos and resting. At noon, enjoy local specialty meals. In the afternoon, continue exploring in depth, and in the evening, check into the hotel to rest and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: This stop is Huangguoshu. Huangguoshu Waterfall is located in Anshun, Guizhou, and is one of the largest waterfalls in Asia. It is over a hundred meters wide with a drop of nearly seventy meters, cascading straight down with mist rising, sounding like thunder, creating a magnificent view. Behind the waterfall, there is a water curtain cave where you can pass through and view the waterfall from inside, offering a unique experience. In my understanding, the waterfall is most spectacular during the high-water season (summer), but the mist is heavy and the ground slippery, so it is recommended to bring a raincoat or waterproof jacket; wear non-slip shoes and watch your step.

Tips: Many mountain paths are slippery, especially when going downhill—pay attention to shifting your center of gravity back and slow your steps. Knee pads are recommended. Visitors generally feedback that the waterfall is spectacular and the water curtain cave passage is a unique experience; note that the water curtain cave will get you wet, and walking in Libo Xiaoqikong involves a lot of walking, so wear non-slip shoes. Considering the actual situation, be punctual—arrive five to ten minutes early. It's better for people to wait for the bus than the bus to wait for people. Don’t make everyone wait for you.

Day 2: Free time

Depart from the hotel early in the morning and head straight to Fanjing Mountain. First, listen to the tour guide explain the background and highlights, then wander freely at a slow pace and take additional photos according to your interests. After lunch, take a short rest, and return to the hotel in the evening to conserve energy for the next day.

Attraction Introduction: One of the highlights arranged in the itinerary is Fanjing Mountain. Fanjing Mountain is located in Tongren, Guizhou, and is the main peak of the Wuling Mountains, with an elevation of 2,572 meters. It was listed as a World Natural Heritage site in 2018 and is the only habitat of the endangered Guizhou golden snub-nosed monkey. The Red Cloud Golden Summit and Mushroom Rock are iconic landscapes. During the sea of clouds and sunrise season, it feels like a fairyland and is a sacred place to experience pristine nature. My understanding is that the mountaintop is windy and has a large temperature difference, so a windbreaker and a thermos are essential. Don’t go lightly dressed and end up freezing yourself.

Tips: The hiking sections have many steps and steep slopes, so make sure to wear non-slip athletic shoes. Those with mobility issues are advised to take the cable car up and down. According to general tourist feedback, most visitors believe that Fanjing Mountain is worth a special visit. It is recommended to slow down, follow the guide’s explanations, and leave time for the details that move you the most and the best photo spots. Considering the actual situation, when taking photos, don’t just focus on the shots; pay attention to your footing and the surroundings. Hold steady when on observation decks and the edges of walkways.

Day 3: Free time

Today's theme is Libo. Avoid the peak crowds by entering the park off-peak, follow the recommended route for an in-depth visit; have lunch nearby to enjoy local flavors, and in the afternoon, either explore freely or join the guide for additional touring. In the evening, stay at a hotel to rest.

Attraction Introduction: This stop is Libo, located in Qiannan, Guizhou. Libo is famous for the Large and Small Seven Holes. The water forest of the Small Seven Holes, the sixty-eight-step waterfall, and Wolong Pool resemble a fairyland, earning it the title of 'Green Gem on the Earth's Belt,' and it is also a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. Here, mountains and waters blend together, and the air is fresh, making it Guizhou’s most famous karst landscape. In my understanding, the Small Seven Holes require a lot of walking, and the bridge tunnels are slippery, so it is essential to wear anti-slip shoes; the scenic area is quite large, so allocate a full day to enjoy it thoroughly.

Tips: The mountain area has significant temperature differences between morning and night, and the mountaintop wind is strong, so a windbreaker and warm inner layers are necessary. Visitors commonly report that the water in the Small Seven Holes is clear and transparent, called the 'Green Gem of the Earth,' and it is perfect for escaping the heat; note that the walking route is long, so bring some snacks and water. According to actual conditions, for the best photos, go early in the morning or late in the afternoon—less crowd and soft light in the morning, golden glow at dusk is most photogenic, while noon has harsh light and crowds, so it is better to rest at that time.

Day 4: Free time

Gather in the morning and depart for Zhenyuan County. Follow the tour guide to explore the main attractions along the primary route, visiting each key spot while leaving ample time for photography and rest. At noon, enjoy local specialty meals. In the afternoon, continue to explore further. In the evening, check into the hotel to rest and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: A highlight of the itinerary is Zhenyuan County. Zhenyuan Ancient Town is located in southeastern Guizhou, with the Wuyang River winding through the town in an S-shape, forming a natural 'Taiji pattern,' and has a history of over two thousand years. The Qinglong Cave ancient architectural complex integrates three religions on the cliffside. The local residences, known as 'crooked houses,' have a unique charm. In 2020, it was upgraded to 5A status and is a tranquil water town in southeastern Guizhou. My understanding is to taste local specialties before buying and compare prices at different shops rather than making impulsive purchases at the main entrance.

Friendly Tips: The ancient town has a dazzling array of local specialties. Taste before you buy and compare prices reasonably. Tourists generally feedback that many believe Zhenyuan County is worth a special visit. It is recommended to slow down, follow the guide’s explanations, and leave time for the details that touch you the most and the best photo spots. Considering practical circumstances, long trips are prone to dehydration, so carry a water bottle and drink small amounts frequently. When visiting highlands or mountainous areas, avoid washing your hair or taking long showers on the first night to allow your body some time to adjust.

Day 5: Free time

Depart from the hotel early in the morning and head straight to Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village. First, listen to the tour guide's explanation of the background and highlights, then take a leisurely stroll on your own and take extra photos according to your interests. After lunch, rest for a while and return to the hotel in the evening to build up energy for the next day.

Attraction Introduction: This stop brings you to Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, located in southeastern Guizhou. It is the largest Miao ethnic village in the world, with over a thousand stilted houses built on the mountainside in layers. When night falls, the thousands of lights shine like stars, creating a spectacular scene. Here, you can experience the Miao long-table banquet, silver jewelry, and song and dance performances to fully enjoy the rich Miao culture. My understanding is that it is essential to stay overnight to see the night view, as the lights and stars are the soul of Xijiang; the village in the early morning shrouded in mist is also extremely beautiful, so do not oversleep.

Tips: The mountain paths have many steps and steep slopes, so be sure to wear non-slip sports shoes. Those with mobility issues are advised to take the cable car up and down. Visitors generally feedback that the night view with the thousand lights is very photogenic; tourists say it is commercialized but still spectacular. Reminder: visiting the observation deck is a must, and the long-table banquet can be experienced once. Considering practical circumstances, be punctual and arrive five to ten minutes early for gatherings. It is better for people to wait for the bus than for the bus to wait for people; do not make everyone wait for you.
