Day 3: Shibapan

Four days from Luoyang. Mount Tai does not have to be rushed in one push: the Han cypresses and temple murals first, then the old stone stairway from Hongmen to Nantianmen, a night on the summit, and sunrise at Riguan Peak. The ticket holds three days.
Luoyang to Qingdao: Zhanqiao Pier, Badaguan and Laoshan, 4 Days
Four days from Luoyang. From November 1 Laoshan Yangkou drops to its low-season ticket at 60 yuan, thirty less than peak. The beaches empty out while the seagulls arrive, and someone is always feeding them bread at the pier railing. Badaguan leaves are down and the pavements are yours.
