Day 1: Jiguan Cave

Assemble in the morning and depart for Jiguan Cave. Follow the tour guide to visit the main attractions, allowing ample time for taking photos and resting. At noon, enjoy a meal featuring local specialties, and in the evening, check into the hotel to rest and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: Today's itinerary includes Jiguan Cave. Jiguan Cave is a karst cave in Luanchuan. Inside the cave, stalactites take on various forms, while stalagmites, stone pillars, and stone flowers transform into magnificent colors under the lights. The cave maintains a constant temperature year-round, being warm in winter and cool in summer. The attractions inside the cave are densely packed, changing with each step. With the guide's explanations, visitors can understand the extraordinary geological changes over hundreds of millions of years. It complements Longtan Grand Canyon, forming a classic geological wonder route in western Henan. My understanding is that when entering the cave, follow the guide's explanation. The formation and names of the stalactites are very interesting, and it’s easy to miss highlights on your own. The cave floor is wet and some areas are low, so wear non-slip shoes and watch your head.

Tips: Mountain roads are often slippery, especially when going downhill, pay attention to shifting your center of gravity backward and slowing your steps. It’s advisable to bring knee pads. Visitors generally feel that most people think Jiguan Cave is worth a special visit. It is recommended to slow down, follow the guide’s explanations, and leave time for the details that touch you most and the best photo spots. Based on the actual situation, respect local customs, dress appropriately when entering religious sites, and do not point carelessly; a simple greeting can receive kindness in return.

Day 2: White Horse Temple

Gather in the morning and depart for White Horse Temple. Follow the guide to visit the main attractions, allowing ample time for photography and rest; enjoy a local specialty lunch at noon, check into the hotel in the evening to recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: One of the highlights arranged in the itinerary is White Horse Temple. White Horse Temple is located in the eastern part of Luoyang City and was originally built during the Yongping era of the Eastern Han Dynasty to commemorate the White Horse carrying scriptures and the initial transmission of Buddhism to the Central Plains. It is revered as 'China's First Ancient Temple,' being the first government-established temple built after the introduction of Buddhism to China. Inside the temple, the Qiyun Pagoda Courtyard, the Great Buddha Hall, and the Hall of Heavenly Kings are laid out along the central axis, with incense burning continuously among the red walls and green cypresses for over two thousand years. It is worth mentioning that the temple also features foreign-style Buddha halls donated by Myanmar, Thailand, India, and other countries, showcasing a unique landscape of Buddhism spreading eastward and returning. My understanding is to first see the main hall on the central axis, then go around to the Qiyun Pagoda Courtyard, and finally visit the side foreign-style Buddha halls to experience cultural integration; arriving early in the morning when it’s less crowded and sunlight falls on the red walls and ancient cypresses gives the best ambiance and also avoids tour group crowds.

Tips: Please maintain quiet and dress neatly when entering the temple. Generally, photography is not allowed inside the halls, and the sacred objects should not be touched; contributions can be made voluntarily. Visitors often report that the foreign-style Buddha halls (Thai / Myanmar / Indian halls) are highly photogenic, and the spaces feel more expansive than expected. Note that walking within the international temple area requires some stamina. Considering practical circumstances, the worst approach when traveling in a group is to rush through; listening to the guide is the essence. The cultural stories behind each attraction are often more memorable than the photos, so ask the guide on the spot if something is unclear.

Day 3: Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden

Gather in the morning and depart for Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden, follow the guide to visit core attractions, and allow ample time for photos and rest; Enjoy local specialties at noon, check into the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction introduction: A highlight of the itinerary is Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden, located at Kaifeng. It is a Song Culture Theme Park based on Zhang Zeduan's "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" from the Northern Song Dynasty. It faithfully recreates the Hongqiao, Bian River, streets, and restaurants from the painting, bringing the bustling bustling streets of Bianliang, Tokyo. The park hosts live performances and folk parades all day long. The most famous is the nighttime water live show "The Great Song · Dreams of Dongjing," which uses light and shadow to recreate the grandeur of the Northern Song capital; During the day, you can watch immersive folk performances such as the opening ceremony, Judge Bao's welcoming guests, and Mr. Wang's marriage proposal. This is also a paradise for Hanfu lovers. Dressed in Song-style Hanfu and walking between the Hongqiao and Bian Rivers, every snapshot is a classical-style masterpiece. My understanding is that you should get a performance schedule before entering, schedule must-see shows and night shows, and then enjoy food and stroll as you like; Exploring the city during the day is the most immersive experience, while night shows are a visual feast, worth seeing if your budget allows.

Friendly reminder: Food prices inside the park tend to be high, so it's best to bring your own water and snacks, and keep your belongings safe. Visitors generally say that strolling through the city during the day feels most immersive, and the night show 'The Great Song · Dreams of Tokyo' has received mixed reviews; Reminder: Show tickets are a bit expensive, so choose according to your budget. Based on actual conditions, if you want authentic food, head deeper into the alleys; the main entrance has long lines and average taste; Ask about prices before comparing local specialties, and local supermarkets are often more authentic.
