Day 1: Baiyun Mountain

In the morning, take the bus to Baiyun Mountain and climb Yuhuang Peak to see the sea of clouds; Have a light lunch at the summit at noon, walk Jiulong Waterfall and the alpine peony garden in the afternoon, breathe in the forest oxygen bar, and check in at dusk.

Attraction introduction: This stop is Baiyun Mountain, located deep in Funiu Mountain in Song County. Yuhuang Peak offers views of clouds and sunrise, with high forest coverage and abundant negative oxygen ions, making it a natural oxygen bar. Within the scenic area, Jiulong Waterfall and the alpine peony garden each have their own unique features. Summer retreats and autumn leaf viewing make them rare high-altitude resort destinations. Taking the cable car or scenic shuttle connects various points, with wide views and swirling clouds at the summit, resembling a fairyland. My understanding is that summer is the best time to escape the heat, with the mountain coolness contrasting sharply with the city's scorching heat; Climbing Yuhuang Peak early to watch the sea of clouds and sunrise requires a bit of luck, but even if you can't see the sunrise, the mountain scenery in the morning mist is still beautiful.

Friendly reminder: The hiking section has many steps and steep slopes, so be sure to wear non-slip sports shoes. Those with mobility difficulties are advised to take the cable car up and down. Visitors generally report that Baiyun Mountain is worth a special trip. It is recommended to slow down, follow the guide, and listen to the explanations, saving time for the most impressive details and the best camera angles. Based on actual conditions, leave some room for physical activity. Focus on the main activity in the morning when you're energetic, slow down in the afternoon to avoid overexertion on the first day and fatigue in the following days.

Day 2: Free Activity

Early in the morning, enter Guoliang Village and take advantage of the morning light to walk the cliff-hanging road and experience the awe of the cliff carvings and tunnels; In the afternoon, free time can explore Wanxian Mountain Danfen Valley and return in the evening.

Friendly reminder: Free time is suitable for catching up on sleep and strolling slowly. It's recommended to rest in the morning and eat and stroll according to your interests in the afternoon. Don't stay too late at night and affect your schedule the next day. Visitors generally report that free activity days are the most relaxed day, and you can go at your own pace. Depending on the situation, it's best to take photos early or late—when there are fewer people in the morning, the light is softer; at dusk, golden light is the best shots. At noon, the top light is cramped and flat, so it's more cost-effective to rest.

Day 3: Wanxian Mountain

Today's theme is Wanxian Mountain, avoiding peak crowds and staggering the park for an in-depth tour along recommended routes; Enjoy local flavors nearby at noon, free time or guided tours in the afternoon, and stay at the hotel to rest in the evening.

Attraction introduction: One of the highlights included in the itinerary is Wanxian Mountain. Wanxian Mountain is located deep within the Taihang Mountains in Huixian, with the Guoliang Cliff Highway and Nanpingdan Valley. The red cliffs intertwine with waterfalls and clear pools, making it one of the most iconic landscape galleries of the Taihang Mountains. This area is famous for filming many TV dramas. Attractions like Guoliang Village, Tianchi, and Fortresses form a stunning Taihang hiking route. The summer temperatures are pleasant, making it a place not far from Zhengzhou and Luoyang that you can get close to the Taihang landscape. My understanding is that the hike is heavy and there are many steps, so be sure to wear non-slip shoes; Watch out for passing vehicles along the cliff-hanging road; early morning and evening light makes the red cliffs the best for photos.

Friendly reminder: The mountain roads are slippery, so be especially careful when moving back and slowing down downhill. Knee pads are recommended. Visitors generally report that the cliff-hanging road (Guoliang Cave) is the most stunning and photogenic, and the mountain roads often cause motion sickness. Prepare motion sickness medicine and walk slowly on the viewing platform to explore carefully. Based on actual conditions, the biggest fear of group tours is skimming the scenery; listening to explanations is the essence. The cultural stories behind each attraction are often more memorable than photos. If you don't understand, ask the guide on the spot.
