Day 1: Laojun Mountain

In the morning, take the cable car up to Laojun Mountain and climb the Golden Summit Daoist temple cluster. On clear days, you'll encounter a sea of clouds; Have a light meal at the summit at noon, then walk the ten-li Huaping Trail in the afternoon, overlooking the mountains from a glass viewing platform, and descend in the evening to check into the hotel.

Attraction introduction: A highlight of the itinerary is Laojun Mountain, located in Luanchuan County Luoyang. It is the main peak of Funiu Mountain and a famous Taoist mountain, said to be the place where Laozi, the founder of Taoism, retired for cultivation. The Golden Summit Daoist temple cluster stands atop a peak over 2,000 meters above sea level. Its golden tiles and red walls and surging sea of clouds are renowned as "a spectacular feast on earth and a glimpse of the flourishing world." The Ten-Mile Painted Screen is the highlight of the entire trip. A high-altitude plank road suspended above a sheer cliff changes views with every step, offering panoramic views of peaks, forests, sea of clouds, and sunrises. You can take a two-level cable car up the mountain; on sunny days, you can watch the sea of clouds and sunrise from the summit. In winter, it is a highly popular snow-viewing spot in the Central Plains. My understanding is: be sure to take the cable car up the mountain early to seize the golden summit and the beautiful scenery of the Ten-Mile Painting Screen; At the summit, the wind is strong and the temperature low; a windbreaker and thermos bottle are standard, and the glass observation deck is a must-have.

Friendly reminder: The mountain roads are slippery, so be sure to shift your center of gravity and slow down on the downhill. Knee pads are recommended. Visitors generally report that the sea of clouds and sunrise at the Golden Summit are recognized as the biggest highlights, and many people make the trip to the summit to wait for dawn. Reminder: The temperature difference at the summit and long cable car queues are key—be sure to arrive early during peak season. Considering actual conditions, mountain weather can change quickly—a windproof jacket is more practical than anything. Choose shoes that are non-slip and comfortable, and avoid spraining your ankle if you take fewer photos.

Day 2: Baiyun Mountain

Climb early in the morning, first reach Yuhuangding to wait for the sea of clouds and sunrise, then visit Jiulong Waterfall; In the afternoon, walk along forest trails—cool off in summer, enjoy autumn foliage—and return in the evening.

Attraction introduction: This stop is Baiyun Mountain, located deep in Funiu Mountain in Song County. Yuhuang Peak offers views of clouds and sunrise, with high forest coverage and abundant negative oxygen ions, making it a natural oxygen bar. Within the scenic area, Jiulong Waterfall and the alpine peony garden each have their own unique features. Summer retreats and autumn leaf viewing make them rare high-altitude resort destinations. Taking the cable car or scenic shuttle connects various points, with wide views and swirling clouds at the summit, resembling a fairyland. My understanding is that summer is the best time to escape the heat, with the mountain coolness contrasting sharply with the city's scorching heat; Climbing Yuhuang Peak early to watch the sea of clouds and sunrise requires a bit of luck, but even if you can't see the sunrise, the mountain scenery in the morning mist is still beautiful.

Friendly reminder: The hiking section has many steps and steep slopes, so be sure to wear non-slip sports shoes. Those with mobility difficulties are advised to take the cable car up and down. Visitors generally report that Baiyun Mountain is worth a special trip. It's recommended to slow down, follow the guide's explanation, and save time for the most impressive details and the best camera spots. Based on actual circumstances, don't shop impulsively. If you see a "limited-time offer," calm down for three minutes; If you really want to bring souvenirs, make sure to buy official stores and keep your receipts for peace of mind.

Day 3: Wangcheng Park

Today's theme is Wangcheng Park, avoiding peak crowds and staggering visits, in-depth tour along recommended routes; Enjoy local flavors nearby at noon, free time in the afternoon or join a guided tour, and check into a hotel to rest in the evening.

Attraction introduction: A highlight of the itinerary is Wangcheng Park. Wangcheng Park is located on Luoyang, named for its location atop the ruins of the Eastern Zhou royal city. It has been one of the main venues for the China Luoyang Peony Culture Festival and is the most familiar city park to Luoyang residents. Every April, famous peonies such as Yao Huang, Wei Purple, and Zhao Pink bloom in a dazzling display of vibrant colors; The park also preserves the ruins of Zhou King's City and a zoo, combining historical heritage with leisure functions, making it a classic spot for visitors to check in at the "Peony Flower City." My understanding is that if you visit during peony season (April), you must make this a must-visit spot. Early mornings with fewer people and peonies with dew are most vibrant; Outside the flowering season, it's more suitable for leisurely walks.

Friendly reminder: Food prices in the park are relatively high, so bring your own water and snacks, and keep your belongings safe. Visitors generally report that most believe Wangcheng Park is worth a special trip. It's recommended to slow down and follow the guide to the explanation, saving time for the most impressive details and the best camera angles. Depending on the situation, keep your documents and wallet separate. Take photos of important documents and keep them on your phone for backup. If lost, you can quickly reissue them without delaying your trip.
