Jiaozuo 3-Day Tour: Wanxianshan
Jiaozuo 3-day tour covering Wanxianshan. Sightseeing tickets and shuttle bus included.
Highlights
Day 1: Free Time
Early in the morning, enter Chongdugou, take advantage of the cool bamboo forest trail and view waterfall clusters, perfect for a leisurely family outing; Afternoon free time, with optional photos or short rests, return in the evening.
Friendly reminder: The biggest fear in free time is catching a blind spot at the last minute. It's recommended to keep your ID and cash separately and confirm the meeting time and place with the guide in advance. Visitors who frequently travel prefer to spend free time on local food and streets to experience the most authentic city life. Based on actual conditions, if you want authentic food, head deeper into the alleys. The main entrance of the scenic area has long lines and average taste; Ask about prices for specialties first, then compare prices; local supermarkets are often more authentic.
Day 2: Wanxian Mountain
Today's theme is Wanxian Mountain, avoiding peak crowds and staggering visits, following recommended routes for in-depth exploration; Enjoy local flavors nearby at noon, free time or additional tour with a guide in the afternoon, and stay at a hotel to rest in the evening.
Attraction introduction: One of the highlights included in the itinerary is Wanxian Mountain. Wanxian Mountain is located deep within the Taihang Mountains in Huixian, with the Guoliang Cliff Highway and Nanpingdan Valley. The red cliffs intertwine with waterfalls and clear pools, making it one of the most iconic landscape galleries of the Taihang Mountains. This area is famous for filming many TV dramas. Attractions like Guoliang Village, Tianchi, and Fortresses form a stunning Taihang hiking route. The summer temperatures are pleasant, making it a place not far from Zhengzhou and Luoyang that you can get close to the Taihang landscape. My understanding is that the hike is heavy and there are many steps, so be sure to wear non-slip shoes; Watch out for passing vehicles along the cliff-hanging road; early morning and evening light makes the red cliffs the best for photos.
Friendly reminder: The hiking section has many steps and steep slopes, so be sure to wear non-slip sports shoes. Those with mobility difficulties are advised to take the cable car up and down. Visitors generally report that the cliff-hanging road (Guoliang Cave) is the most stunning and photogenic, and mountain roads often cause motion sickness. Prepare motion sickness medicine and walk slowly on the viewing platform to carefully observe it. Based on actual conditions, dehydration is the worst thing on long trips; carry a water bottle and drink water in small amounts frequently; On the first night in plateau or mountainous areas, don't wash your hair or shower too long; give your body some room to adjust.
Day 3: Departure
Transfer to the station/airport per your departure, ending a pleasant journey.
Friendly tips: Pack the night before and keep ID, power bank and souvenirs together; allow extra time for the station/airport; bring your ID and stay with your guide, noting the meeting time and place. Traveler feedback — Return-day travelers remind: pack ID and souvenirs the night before; allow extra time. Practical note — Return-day tip: pack ID, power bank and souvenirs the night before; allow extra time—mountain roads are unpredictable.
