Day 1: Wangcheng Park

Gather in the morning and depart for Wangcheng Park, follow the guide along the main route, visit the highlights one by one, and allow plenty of time for photos and rest; Enjoy local specialties at noon, continue deeper in the afternoon, check into the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction introduction: A highlight of the itinerary is Wangcheng Park. Wangcheng Park is located on Luoyang, named for its location atop the ruins of the Eastern Zhou royal city. It has been one of the main venues for the China Luoyang Peony Culture Festival and is the most familiar city park to Luoyang residents. Every April, famous peonies such as Yao Huang, Wei Purple, and Zhao Pink bloom in a dazzling display of vibrant colors; The park also preserves the ruins of Zhou King's City and a zoo, combining historical heritage with leisure functions, making it a classic spot for visitors to check in at the "Peony Flower City." My understanding is that if you visit during peony season (April), you must make this a must-visit spot. Early mornings with fewer people and peonies with dew are most vibrant; Outside the flowering season, it's more suitable for leisurely walks.

Friendly reminder: Food prices in the park are relatively high, so bring your own water and snacks, and take care of your belongings. Visitors generally report that most think Wangcheng Park is worth a special trip. It's recommended to slow down, follow the guide's explanation, and save time for the most impressive details and the best camera angles. Depending on the situation, bring some change and small packs of snacks. These will be useful when the signal is poor or you need to resupply last—don't wait until you're hungry.

Day 2: Free Activities

Enter Chongdugou early and take advantage of the cool bamboo forest trail and waterfall viewing—perfect for a leisurely family outing; Free time in the afternoon, with options for extra photos or a short rest, and return in the evening.

Friendly reminder: There is no unified schedule for free activity days. Before leaving, note down your hotel location and meeting time, fully charge your phone, and bring a power bank. Frequent travelers generally report that frequent travelers prefer to save free time for local food and streets to experience the most authentic city life. Based on actual conditions, leave some time for physical activity. Focus on the main activities in the morning and slow down in the afternoon to avoid overexertion on the first day and fatigue in the following days.

Day 3: Laojun Mountain

Today's in-depth tour is Laojun Mountain After taking the cable car up the mountain, focus on seeing the Golden Summit, the Ten-Mile Painted Screen, and the glass viewing platform, then follow the guide to learn about Taoist culture and the geology of Funiu Mountain; Rest and recharge in the afternoon to prepare for the next day.

Attraction introduction: A highlight of the itinerary is Laojun Mountain, located in Luanchuan County Luoyang. It is the main peak of Funiu Mountain and a famous Taoist mountain, said to be the place where Laozi, the founder of Taoism, retired for cultivation. The Golden Summit Daoist temple cluster stands atop a peak over 2,000 meters above sea level. Its golden tiles and red walls and surging sea of clouds are renowned as "a spectacular feast on earth and a glimpse of the flourishing world." The Ten-Mile Painted Screen is the highlight of the entire trip. A high-altitude plank road suspended above a sheer cliff changes views with every step, offering panoramic views of peaks, forests, sea of clouds, and sunrises. You can take a two-level cable car up the mountain; on sunny days, you can watch the sea of clouds and sunrise from the summit. In winter, it is a highly popular snow-viewing spot in the Central Plains. My understanding is: be sure to take the cable car up the mountain early to seize the golden summit and the beautiful scenery of the Ten-Mile Painting Screen; At the summit, the wind is strong and the temperature low; a windbreaker and thermos bottle are standard, and the glass observation deck is a must-have.

Friendly reminder: The hiking route has many steps and steep slopes, so be sure to wear non-slip sports shoes. Those with mobility difficulties are advised to take the cable car up and down. Visitors generally report that the Golden Summit sea of clouds and sunrise are recognized as the main highlights, with many people staying at the summit waiting for dawn. Reminder: The summit has large temperature differences and long cable car queues, so be sure to arrive early during peak season. Based on actual conditions, don't shop impulsively. If you see a "limited-time offer," take a three-minute cooling. If you really want to bring souvenirs, make sure to buy a reputable store and keep your receipt for peace of mind.
