Day 1: Free activities

Early in the morning, enter Chongdugou, enjoy a walk along the bamboo forest trail and view the waterfall clusters while it is still cool, which is suitable for a relaxed parent-child outing; in the afternoon, enjoy free activities, you can take additional photos or rest briefly, and return in the evening.

Warm tip: There is no unified schedule on free activity days, so before going out, note the hotel location and meeting time, make sure your phone is fully charged, and bring a power bank. Visitors generally feedback that many feel free activity days are the most relaxing, allowing them to go at their own pace. Considering the actual situation, the biggest fear when joining a group tour is just rushing through the sights; listening to the commentary is the essence, and the cultural stories behind each attraction are often more memorable than photos. If you don't understand something, ask the guide on the spot.

Day 2: Sui-Tang Luoyang City

Today, with Sui-Tang Luoyang City as the theme, avoid peak crowds by visiting the park during off-peak hours and follow the recommended route for an in-depth tour; have lunch nearby to enjoy local flavors, spend the afternoon on your own or join the guide for additional sightseeing, and rest at the hotel in the evening.

Attraction Introduction: This stop takes us to Sui-Tang Luoyang City. The Sui-Tang Luoyang City National Heritage Park centers around Yingtian Gate, Mingtang, and Tiantang, restoring the grandeur of the palaces of the prosperous Tang capital Luoyang. Yingtian Gate is the main south gate of Sui-Tang Luoyang City and is magnificent; climbing up allows for a view of the central axis, and at night there is a stunning light show. Mingtang was the 'Palace of Myriad Phenomena' during Wu Zetian's era, while Tiantang is a high tower for Buddhist worship. The interiors of both buildings restore the luxurious furnishings of the Tang court. Walking along the Jiuzhou Pool is also recommended, evoking the grandeur of the ancient royal gardens. This place is closely associated with TV series and films such as 《Wu Zetian》 and 《Wind Rises Luoyang》, making it one of Luoyang's most popular Tang culture destinations in recent years. My understanding is that visiting at night is essential—the lights of Yingtian Gate and Mingtang-Tiantang at dusk show the 'divine capital' as it should be; view the palace interiors by day and enjoy the light show at night for two distinct experiences in one day.

Tips: The ancient capital offers a rich night tour program. Dress warmly for evening outings and remember the meeting point. Tourists generally report that most feel Sui-Tang Luoyang City is worth visiting specifically. It is recommended to slow down, follow the guide, listen to the explanations, and leave time for the details that impress you most and the best spots for photos. Depending on actual circumstances, shoot photos early in the morning or late in the afternoon—fewer people and soft light in the morning, golden glow at dusk for the best shots. Midday light is harsh and crowded, so it's better to rest then.

Day 3: Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden

Arrive in the morning, walk through the streets restored according to the "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" painting, and watch folk performances and live scene shows; have Bianliang snacks at noon, and in the afternoon continue to visit the garden or tour the Song Capital Imperial River at night to experience the prosperity of Northern Song Bianjing.

Attraction Introduction: A highlight arranged in the itinerary is Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden, located at Kaifeng. It is a Song culture-themed park built based on Zhang Zeduan's "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" from the Northern Song, restoring the Rainbow Bridge, Bian River, streets, and taverns from the painting, recreating the bustling city life of Bianliang, the capital of the Song Dynasty. There are live performances and folk parades throughout the day, with the most famous being the nighttime water performance "Great Song: Dream of Tokyo," which uses lights and projections to recreate the grand scenes of the Northern Song capital; during the day, visitors can watch immersive folk performances such as the opening ceremony, Bao Gong welcoming guests, and rich man Wang's matchmaking. This park is also a paradise for Hanfu enthusiasts—changing into Song-style Hanfu and strolling along the Rainbow Bridge and Bian River allows for perfect ancient-style photos. My understanding is to collect the performance schedule upon entering, plan the must-see shows and night performance times first, and then explore and eat at leisure; visiting the market during the day gives the strongest sense of immersion, while the night show is an audio-visual feast, worth watching if the budget allows.

Tips: Popular attractions at the park often have long lines; pick up a map and performance schedule upon entry and prioritize must-try activities. Visitors generally feel that exploring the market during the day is most immersive, while the night show "Great Song: Dream of Tokyo" receives mixed reviews; performance tickets are relatively expensive, so plan according to your budget. Based on practical considerations, for long journeys, dehydration is a concern, so carry a water bottle and drink small amounts frequently; when arriving at a high-altitude or mountainous area, avoid washing hair or taking long baths on the first night to give your body time to adjust.
