【Very convenient: Zhengzhou is a national high-speed hub, and Luoyang, Kaifeng, Jiaozuo and Dengfeng all connect by rail or intercity. Move between cities by high-speed rail first; use charters or scenic shuttles for mountain sights.】
Henan's high-speed network density is among the country's highest; Zhengzhou's 'mi' (radial) hub reaches most provinces, and intra-province cities link in 1–2 hours.
◆ Major intercity rail reference:
| Leg | Mode | Time |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Zhengzhou ↔ Luoyang | High-speed | ~0.5–1 hour |
| Zhengzhou ↔ Kaifeng | High-speed / intercity | ~0.5 hour |
| Luoyang ↔ Kaifeng | High-speed (via Zhengzhou) | ~2 hours |
| Zhengzhou ↔ Jiaozuo | Intercity / high-speed | ~0.5–1 hour |
| Zhengzhou ↔ Dengfeng | No high-speed yet; bus/charter | ~1.5 hours |
◆ Three intercity modes:
1. ◆ High-speed rail: centre to centre, fastest and steadiest, for Zhengzhou/Luoyang/Kaifeng/Jiaozuo.
2. ◆ Charter: door to door, ideal with luggage, elders/kids, or for rail-less points (Dengfeng, Laojun).
3. ◆ Scenic shuttle / bus: economical but fixed schedules and longer; for solo backpackers.
◆ Three practical notes:
- Dengfeng (Shaolin) has no high-speed yet; the nearest station is Zhengzhou or Luoyang, then a 1–1.5 hour bus/charter.
- Peak-season rail tickets are tight; book early — we can assist.
- Luggage: with much baggage a charter is easiest; rail means hauling it yourself.
We coordinate intercity moves as 'rail-primary, charter-supplement', including station transfers. For a through-trip plan call 13017648055.
