Day 1: Chongdugou

Gather in the morning and set off for Chongdugou, follow the tour guide to visit the main attractions, allowing plenty of time for photos and rest; enjoy a local specialty lunch at noon, check in at the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: This stop is Chongdugou, located in Luanchuan, known for its vast bamboo forests, cascading waterfalls, and the farming scenery of western Henan. It is one of the few "Jiangnan-style" summer resorts in western Henan. The scenic area is divided into two sections: Jinji River and Dicui River. Jinji River is famous for its waterfalls, with splashing water and a refreshing atmosphere; Dicui River is a continuous bamboo forest, where walking through you are surrounded by green scenery. Here, visitors can stay in farmhouse accommodations, try wild mountain vegetables, and experience authentic village life in western Henan, with a slow pace, making it ideal for family leisure and summer vacations. My understanding is to slow down the pace and not rush through the attractions—walking in the bamboo forest and sitting by the stream is the right way to enjoy Chongdugou; visiting in summer is most comfortable, so cool that you won’t want to leave.

Tips: The canyon trails are next to water and cliffs, so do not climb over the railings or play in dangerous areas, and keep an eye on children. Most visitors report that Chongdugou is worth a special trip. It is recommended to slow down, listen to the tour guide’s explanations, and save time for the details that move you most and the best photo spots. Considering the actual situation, pace yourself and reserve your energy—tackle the highlights in the morning when you are fresh, and slow down in the afternoon. Do not exhaust yourself on the first day, or you will have no energy for the following days.

Day 2: Jiguan Cave

Assemble in the morning and depart for Jiguan Cave. Follow the tour guide to visit the main attractions, allowing ample time for taking photos and resting. At noon, enjoy a meal featuring local specialties, and in the evening, check into the hotel to rest and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: Today's itinerary includes Jiguan Cave. Jiguan Cave is a karst cave in Luanchuan. Inside the cave, stalactites take on various forms, while stalagmites, stone pillars, and stone flowers transform into magnificent colors under the lights. The cave maintains a constant temperature year-round, being warm in winter and cool in summer. The attractions inside the cave are densely packed, changing with each step. With the guide's explanations, visitors can understand the extraordinary geological changes over hundreds of millions of years. Together with Longtan Grand Canyon, it forms a complementary one-cave-one-gorge experience, making it a classic geological sightseeing route in western Henan. My understanding is that when you enter the cave, remember to follow the guide; the formation and naming of the stalactites are very interesting, and it's easy to miss highlights if you look by yourself. The cave floor is slippery, and some areas are low, so wear non-slip shoes and watch your head.

Tips: There are many slippery sections on mountain roads. Pay extra attention when going downhill by shifting your center of gravity backward and slowing your pace. You may want to bring a pair of knee pads. Visitors generally feedback that most of them believe Jiguan Cave is worth a special visit. It is recommended to slow your pace, follow the guide's explanations, and leave time for the details that move you most and the photo spots that are most scenic. Respect the local customs according to the actual situation. When entering religious sites, dress appropriately and avoid pointing around casually. A simple greeting can exchange for goodwill.

Day 3: Sui-Tang Luoyang City

Assemble in the morning and depart for Sui-Tang Luoyang City. Follow the guide to visit the main attractions, allowing ample time for photos and rest. At noon, enjoy local specialty dishes, and in the evening, check into the hotel to recharge for the itinerary the next day.

Attraction Introduction: This stop brings you to Sui-Tang Luoyang City. The Sui-Tang Luoyang City National Heritage Park centers around Yingtian Gate, Mingtang, and Tiantang, recreating the palace grandeur of the prosperous Tang "Divine Capital" Luoyang. Yingtian Gate is the south gate of Sui-Tang Luoyang City, grand and majestic; climbing the tower allows a view of the central axis, and at night, there is a spectacular light show. Mingtang was the "Palace of Ten Thousand Phenomena" during Empress Wu Zetian's era, and Tiantang is a tall tower for Buddhist ceremonies. The interiors of both buildings restore the luxurious furnishings of the Tang dynasty palace. It is also pleasant to stroll along Jiuzhou Pool, imagining the grandeur of the royal gardens of the past. This place is closely related to TV series such as "Wu Zetian" and "The Wind Rises in Luoyang," and has become one of the most popular Tang culture check-in spots in Luoyang in recent years. My understanding is that it is a must to visit at night—the lights of Yingtian Gate, Mingtang, and Tiantang at dusk show what the "Divine Capital" truly looks like. You can experience the palace furnishings during the day and the light show at night—two experiences in one day.

Tips: Ancient capital attractions are spread out, requiring a lot of walking and transfers, so it is recommended to wear comfortable flat shoes and plan your route well. Visitor feedback generally indicates that most tourists believe Sui-Tang Luoyang City is worth a special visit. It is advised to slow down, follow the guide’s explanations, and leave time for the details that move you most and the best photo spots. In practice, group tours should avoid rushing through highlights; the guide’s explanations are the essence. The cultural stories behind each attraction are often more unforgettable than photos. If something is unclear, ask the guide on the spot.
