Day 1: Sui-Tang Luoyang City

In the morning, gather and depart for Sui-Tang Luoyang City. Follow the main route with the guide to visit all the key highlights, leaving ample time for photos and rest. At noon, enjoy local specialty meals, then continue exploring in the afternoon. In the evening, check into the hotel to recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: This stop is Sui-Tang Luoyang City. Sui-Tang Luoyang City National Heritage Park, centered around Yingtian Gate, Mingtang, and Tangtang, restores the palace grandeur of the prosperous Tang Dynasty "Divine Capital" Luoyang. Yingtian Gate is the south main gate of Sui-Tang Luoyang City, magnificent in scale; climbing the tower offers a view of the central axis, and at night there is a spectacular light show. Mingtang was the "Palace of Myriad Phenomena" during Wu Zetian’s era, while Tangtang is a high tower for Buddhist rituals. The interiors of both buildings restore the luxurious furnishings of the Tang court. A stroll along the Jiuzhou Pool is also recommended, invoking the grandeur of the royal garden of yesteryear. This location is closely related to TV dramas such as "Wu Zetian" and "Feng Qi Luoyang" and has become one of the most popular Tang culture check-in spots in Luoyang in recent years. In my opinion, a night visit is a must—only when the lights are on at Yingtian Gate, Mingtang, and Tangtang does the "Divine Capital" look as it should. See the palace interiors by day and enjoy the light show at night for two different experiences in one day.

Warm Tips: The ancient city offers rich night tour options. Keep warm when traveling at night and remember the meeting point. Visitors generally report that most think Sui-Tang Luoyang City is worth a dedicated visit. It is recommended to slow down, follow the guide, and leave time for the details that move you most and the best photo spots. Depending on the circumstances, the best times for photos are early morning or late afternoon—fewer people and soft light in the morning, golden glow at dusk is ideal; the midday sun produces harsh and crowded conditions, so resting at this time is more worthwhile.

Day 2: White Horse Temple

Arrive early in the morning, take advantage of the morning light to quietly stroll among the red walls and cypress trees, focusing on the Qiyun Tower and the two exotic Buddhist halls; enjoy free activities in the afternoon, and you can retake photos along the central axis, then return to the hotel in the evening.

Attraction Introduction: One of the highlights arranged in the itinerary is [0]. [0] is located in the eastern part of [1] city and was originally built during the Yongping period of the Eastern Han Dynasty. It was established to commemorate the White Horse carrying scriptures and the initial transmission of Buddhism to the Central Plains, and is revered as 'China's First Ancient Temple.' It was the first government-built temple constructed after Buddhism was introduced to China. Inside the temple, the Qiyun Tower Courtyard, the Great Buddha Hall, and the Heavenly King Hall are laid out along the central axis, with incense burning continuously among the red walls and cypress trees for over two thousand years. Notably, the temple also has exotic-style Buddhist halls donated by countries such as Myanmar, Thailand, and India, presenting a unique landscape that reflects both the eastward transmission and return flow of Buddhist culture. My understanding is that upon entering the temple, you first view the main halls along the central axis, then circle to the Qiyun Tower Courtyard, and finally visit the exotic Buddhist halls on both sides to experience the cultural fusion; arriving early in the morning is ideal, as the morning light on the red walls and ancient cypresses is most atmospheric, and it also allows you to avoid the peak tourist crowds.

Tips: Please maintain quiet and wear appropriate attire when entering the temple. Generally, photography and touching religious implements inside the halls are not allowed; merits can be made by offering donations. Visitors generally report that the exotic-style Buddhist halls (Thai/Myanmar/Indian courtyards) are very photogenic and feel more spacious than expected; note that the international temple area requires quite a bit of walking, so conserve some energy. Considering practical conditions, the biggest concern on long trips is dehydration, so carry a water bottle and drink small amounts frequently; for the first night in the highlands or mountains, avoid long hair washing or bathing to allow your body some time to adjust.

Day 3: Baiyun Mountain

Today's Baiyun Mountain vacation trip includes taking the cableway and the scenic shuttle to connect Yuhuangding, Jiulong Waterfall, and the Alpine Peony Garden, with a leisurely pace; the afternoon is free for activities, and the evening is for rest.

Attractions Introduction: This stop is at Baiyun Mountain, located in the heart of Funiu Mountain in Song County. From Yuhuangding, one can enjoy the sunrise over the sea of clouds. With a high forest coverage and abundant negative oxygen ions, it is a natural 'big oxygen bar.' Within the scenic area, Jiulong Waterfall and the Alpine Peony Garden each have unique features. It is a rare high-altitude resort destination for summer cooling and autumn leaf viewing. The points can be connected by cableway or scenic shuttle, and the mountaintop has expansive views, shrouded in mist, resembling a fairyland. My understanding is that coming in summer is most worthwhile for cooling off, as the mountain's coolness contrasts sharply with the city’s heat; waking up early to climb Yuhuangding to watch the sunrise over the sea of clouds requires a bit of luck, but even if you miss the sunrise, the mountain scenery in the morning mist is beautiful enough.

Warm Tips: There is a large temperature difference between morning and evening in the mountainous area, and it can be windy at the top, so a windproof jacket and warm inner layers are necessary. Tourists generally comment that most visitors think Baiyun Mountain is worth a special trip. It is recommended to slow down the pace, listen to the guide's commentary, and leave time for the details that move you the most and the most photogenic spots. Considering the actual situation, be time-conscious; arrive five to ten minutes early for gatherings. It's better for people to wait for the vehicle than for the vehicle to wait for people—don't make everyone wait for you.
