Day 1: Erlitou

Today's theme is Erlitou. Avoid peak crowds and enter the park in staggered times, following recommended routes for in-depth exploration; Enjoy local flavors nearby at noon, then have free time in the afternoon or follow a guide for additional tours, and check in to the hotel to rest in the evening.

Attraction introduction: Today's itinerary includes Erlitou attractions. The Erlitou site is located in Luoyang Yanshi, praised by scholars as the "Earliest China." It is a large capital site from the mid to late Xia Dynasty, unearthing turquoise dragon-shaped artifacts, bronze jue, bronze tripods, and other heavy artifacts, revealing the appearance of China's first royal capital. The turquoise dragon-shaped artifact is made from over 2,000 turquoise fragments inlaid and is known as "China's First Dragon," serving as important evidence of Chinese dragon worship. Erlitou The site museum presents the site with an archaeological sense and is an unmissable stop for studying the origins of Chinese civilization. My understanding is that before visiting, one should first understand the academic controversy surrounding the "Xia Capital," then look at the exhibits for a deeper understanding; The museum's exhibits are carefully crafted and worth taking your time.

Friendly reminder: The mountain roads are quite slippery, so be sure to shift your weight back and slow down when going downhill. Prepare a pair of knee pads. Most visitors generally say that Erlitou is worth a special trip. It's recommended to slow down and follow the guide to listen to the explanations, saving time for the most impressive details and the best camera angles. Considering actual conditions, mountain weather can change quickly, so a windbreaker is more practical than anything; Choose shoes that are non-slip and comfortable, and avoid spraining your ankle if you take fewer photos.

Day 2: Wangcheng Park

Gather in the morning and depart for Wangcheng Park, follow the guide along the main route, visit the highlights one by one, and allow enough time for photos and rest; Enjoy local specialties at noon, continue deeper in the afternoon, check into the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction introduction: A highlight of the itinerary is Wangcheng Park. Wangcheng Park is located on Luoyang, named for its location atop the ruins of the Eastern Zhou royal city. It has been one of the main venues for the China Luoyang Peony Culture Festival and is the most familiar city park to Luoyang residents. Every April, famous peonies such as Yao Huang, Wei Purple, and Zhao Pink bloom in a dazzling display of vibrant colors; The park also preserves the ruins of Zhou King's City and a zoo, combining historical heritage with leisure functions, making it a classic spot for visitors to check in at the "Peony Flower City." My understanding is that if you visit during peony season (April), you must make this a must-visit spot. Early mornings with fewer people and peonies with dew are most vibrant; Outside the flowering season, it's more suitable for leisurely walks.

Friendly reminder: Popular attractions have long queues. Get a map and show schedule before entering to prioritize must-see attractions. Visitors generally report that Wangcheng Park is worth a special trip. It's recommended to slow down and follow the guide to listen to the explanations, saving time for the most impressive details and photogenic camera angles. Based on actual circumstances, don't shop impulsively. When you see "limited-time offers," calm down for three minutes; If you really want to bring souvenirs, make sure to buy reputable stores and keep your receipts for peace of mind.

Day 3: Laojun Mountain

Early in the morning, board Laojun Mountain, take the two-level cable car to the Golden Summit, check in at the Taoist temple cluster and the sea of clouds at sunrise; In the afternoon, slowly descend along the Ten-Mile Painted Screen, changing scenery at every step, and return in the evening.

Attraction introduction: A highlight of the itinerary is Laojun Mountain, located in Luanchuan County Luoyang. It is the main peak of Funiu Mountain and a famous Taoist mountain, said to be the place where Laozi, the founder of Taoism, retired for cultivation. The Golden Summit Daoist temple cluster stands atop a peak over 2,000 meters above sea level. Its golden tiles and red walls and surging sea of clouds are renowned as "a spectacular feast on earth and a glimpse of the flourishing world." The Ten-Mile Painted Screen is the highlight of the entire trip. A high-altitude plank road suspended above a sheer cliff changes views with every step, offering panoramic views of peaks, forests, sea of clouds, and sunrises. You can take a two-level cable car up the mountain; on sunny days, you can watch the sea of clouds and sunrise from the summit. In winter, it is a highly popular snow-viewing spot in the Central Plains. My understanding is: be sure to take the cable car up the mountain early to seize the golden summit and the beautiful scenery of the Ten-Mile Painting Screen; At the summit, the wind is strong and the temperature low; a windbreaker and thermos bottle are standard, and the glass observation deck is a must-have.

Friendly reminder: The mountain area has large temperature differences between morning and evening, and the wind at the summit is strong. A windproof jacket and warm inner layer are very necessary. Visitors generally report that the sea of clouds and sunrise at the Golden Summit are recognized as the main highlights, with many people staying at the summit waiting for dawn; A reminder: the large temperature difference at the summit and long cable car queues are important, so be sure to arrive early during peak season. Based on actual conditions, separate documents and wallets; take photos of important documents and keep them on your phone for backup. If lost, you can quickly reissue them without delaying your trip.
