Day 1: Baiyun Mountain

Early in the morning, climb to Baiyun Mountain, first go to Yuhuang Peak to wait for the sea of clouds and sunrise, then visit Jiulong Waterfall; In the afternoon, stroll along forest trails—escaping the summer heat, enjoying autumn leaves, and returning in the evening.

Attraction introduction: This stop is Baiyun Mountain, located deep in Funiu Mountain in Song County. Yuhuang Peak offers views of clouds and sunrise, with high forest coverage and abundant negative oxygen ions, making it a natural oxygen bar. Within the scenic area, Jiulong Waterfall and the alpine peony garden each have their own unique features. Summer retreats and autumn leaf viewing make them rare high-altitude resort destinations. Taking the cable car or scenic shuttle connects various points, with wide views and swirling clouds at the summit, resembling a fairyland. My understanding is that summer is the best time to escape the heat, with the mountain coolness contrasting sharply with the city's scorching heat; Climbing Yuhuang Peak early to watch the sea of clouds and sunrise requires a bit of luck, but even if you can't see the sunrise, the mountain scenery in the morning mist is still beautiful.

Friendly reminder: In mountainous areas, there is a large temperature difference between morning and evening, and the wind at the summit is strong. A windproof jacket and warm inner layer are very necessary. Visitors generally report that most believe Baiyun Mountain is worth a special trip. It is recommended to slow down and follow the guide's explanation, saving time for the most impressive details and the best camera angles. Based on actual circumstances, documents and wallets are separate; important documents are taken and stored on your phone for backup. If lost, you can quickly reissue them without delaying your trip.

Day 2: Chongdugou

Today's Chongdugou summer retreat is at a relaxed pace, focusing on the vast bamboo forest and cascading waterfalls; Afternoon is flexible, and overnight stay at a farmhouse to rest.

Attraction introduction: This stop is Chongdugou. Chongdugou is located in Luanchuan, famous for its vast bamboo forests, waterfalls, and the agricultural charm of western Henan. It is one of the few "Jiangnan water town" style summer leisure spots in Henan. The scenic area is divided into Jinji River and Dicui River. Jinji River is famous for its clusters of waterfalls, with splashing water that is cool and pleasant; Dicui River is a continuous bamboo forest, with lush greenery stretching through. Here, you can stay in farmhouses, taste wild vegetables, and experience authentic mountain village life in western Henan. The pace is relaxed, making it especially suitable for family trips and summer vacations. My understanding is that slowing down the pace and not rushing to see attractions — walking through the bamboo forest or sitting by the stream is the right way to experience Chongdugou; Summer is the most comfortable, so cool you don't want to walk.

Friendly reminder: Signal inside the canyon may be poor. Agree on a meeting point with the guide in advance and don't go alone. Visitors generally report that most think Chongdugou is worth a special trip. It's recommended to slow down and follow the guide to listen to the explanation, saving time for the most impressive details and the best camera angles. Depending on the situation, bring some change and small packaged snacks. These will be useful when signal is poor or you need to resupply temporarily at scenic spots. Don't wait until you're hungry to find them.

Day 3: Erlitou

Gather in the morning and depart for Erlitou. Follow the guide along the main route, visiting all the highlights one by one, leaving enough time for photos and rest; Enjoy local specialties at noon, continue deeper in the afternoon, check into the hotel at dusk, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction introduction: Today's itinerary includes Erlitou attractions. The Erlitou site is located in Luoyang Yanshi, praised by scholars as the "Earliest China." It is a large capital site from the mid to late Xia Dynasty, unearthing turquoise dragon-shaped artifacts, bronze jue, bronze tripods, and other heavy artifacts, revealing the appearance of China's first royal capital. The turquoise dragon-shaped artifact is made from over 2,000 turquoise fragments inlaid and is known as "China's First Dragon," serving as important evidence of Chinese dragon worship. Erlitou The site museum presents the site with an archaeological sense and is an unmissable stop for studying the origins of Chinese civilization. My understanding is that before visiting, one should first understand the academic controversy surrounding the "Xia Capital," then look at the exhibits for a deeper understanding; The museum's exhibits are carefully crafted and worth taking your time.

Friendly reminder: The climbing route has many steps and steep slopes, so be sure to wear non-slip sports shoes. Those with mobility difficulties are advised to take the cable car up and down. Visitors generally report that Erlitou is worth a special trip. It's recommended to slow down and follow the guide to listen to the explanation, saving time for the most impressive details and the best camera spots. Considering actual conditions, mountain weather can change quickly, and a windbreaker jacket is more practical than anything; Always choose shoes that are non-slip and comfortable, and avoid spraining your ankle if you take fewer photos.
