Day 1: Chongdugou

Morning tourChongdugou, watching bamboo forests and waterfalls along Jinji River and Dicui River; Enjoy wild vegetable farmhouse meals at noon, stroll through villages in western Henan in the afternoon, enjoying the coolness of a Jiangnan water town.

Attraction introduction: This stop is Chongdugou. Chongdugou is located in Luanchuan, famous for its vast bamboo forests, waterfalls, and the agricultural charm of western Henan. It is one of the few "Jiangnan water town" style summer leisure spots in Henan. The scenic area is divided into Jinji River and Dicui River. Jinji River is famous for its clusters of waterfalls, with splashing water that is cool and pleasant; Dicui River is a continuous bamboo forest, with lush greenery stretching through. Here, you can stay in farmhouses, taste wild vegetables, and experience authentic mountain village life in western Henan. The pace is relaxed, making it especially suitable for family trips and summer vacations. My understanding is that slowing down the pace and not rushing to see attractions — walking through the bamboo forest or sitting by the stream is the right way to experience Chongdugou; Summer is the most comfortable, so cool you don't want to walk.

Friendly reminder: Signal in the canyon may be poor. Agree with the guide in advance at the meeting point—don't go alone. Most visitors generally say Chongdugou is worth making a special trip. It's recommended to slow down and follow the guide to the guide, saving time for the details and the best camera spots. Considering actual conditions, mountain weather can change quickly, and a windbreaker jacket is more practical than anything; Be sure to choose non-slip and comfortable shoes, and avoid spraining your ankle if you take fewer photos.

Day 2: Wangcheng Park

Depart from the hotel early in the morning and head straight to the royal city. First, listen to the guide's explanation of the background and highlights, then enjoy a leisurely tour and take additional camera photos based on your interests; After lunch, take a short rest, then return to the hotel in the evening to recharge for the next day.

Attraction introduction: A highlight of the itinerary is Wangcheng Park. Wangcheng Park is located on Luoyang, named for its location atop the ruins of the Eastern Zhou royal city. It has been one of the main venues for the China Luoyang Peony Culture Festival and is the most familiar city park to Luoyang residents. Every April, famous peonies such as Yao Huang, Wei Purple, and Zhao Pink bloom in a dazzling display of vibrant colors; The park also preserves the ruins of Zhou King's City and a zoo, combining historical heritage with leisure functions, making it a classic spot for visitors to check in at the "Peony Flower City." My understanding is that if you visit during peony season (April), you must make this a must-visit spot. Early mornings with fewer people and peonies with dew are most vibrant; Outside the flowering season, it's more suitable for leisurely walks.

Friendly reminder: Popular attractions have long queues. Get a map and show schedule before entering to prioritize must-try attractions. Visitors generally say that ⟦⟧⟧ is worth a special trip. It's recommended to slow down and follow the guide to listen to explanations, saving time for the most impressive details and the best camera angles. Based on your situation, don't shop impulsively—take three minutes to cool off when you see a 'limited-time offer.' If you really want to bring souvenirs, make sure to visit reputable stores and keep your receipt for peace of mind.

Day 3: Red Flag Canal

Today's theme is Red Flag Canal4-Day Tour_Henan4-Day Itinerary_ChongdugouClassic Route Recommendations, avoiding peak crowds and staggering entry times, and exploring deeply along the recommended routes; Enjoy local flavors nearby at noon, then have free time in the afternoon or join a guided tour, and stay at the hotel to rest in the evening.

Attraction introduction: A highlight of the itinerary is Red Flag Canal. Red Flag Canal is the "artificial heavenly river" carved by the people of Linzhou on the sheer cliffs of the Taihang Mountains in the 1960s. It is over 1,500 kilometers long, leveling 1,250 peaks, installing more than 150 aqueducts, and excavating more than 200 tunnels. It took nearly ten years to complete, serving as a monument to the Chinese nation's spirit of self-improvement. Youth Cave is the most dangerous section of the entire route, carved out by 300 young commandos from the cliffs; Fenshuiyuan and Red Flag Canal Memorial Hall fully recount the arduous canal construction process. This is a combination of red education and the magnificent scenery of Taihang, and today it is also a breathtaking cultural landmark. My understanding is that you should first visit the memorial hall to understand the canal construction background, then walk through Youth Cave to truly appreciate the canal's significance; Walk along the canal within your means, wear non-slip shoes, and watch your step.

Friendly reminder: In mountainous areas, there is a large temperature difference between morning and evening, and the wind at the summit is strong. A windproof jacket and warm inner layer are very necessary. Visitors generally report that the "Artificial Tianhe" has strong spiritual landmark attributes, making middle-aged visitors resonate more; They remind visitors that the exhibition hall's explanations are worth listening to and can understand that period of history. Based on actual conditions, documents and wallets are kept separately; important documents can be taken and stored as backups on your phone so that if lost, you can quickly reissue them without delaying your trip.
