Day 1: Jiuzhaigou

Gather in the morning and depart for Jiuzhaigou. Follow the tour guide along the main route, visiting all the highlights one by one, allowing ample time for photos and rest; enjoy a local specialty meal at noon, continue exploring in the afternoon, and check into the hotel in the evening to recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: This stop is Jiuzhaigou. Jiuzhaigou is located in Aba, Sichuan, and is famous for its five unique features: 'emerald seas, cascading waterfalls, colorful forests, snowy peaks, and Tibetan charm.' Due to calcium deposits, the lake water shows a magical mix of blue and green. Each lake, such as Nuorilang Waterfall, Five-Flower Lake, and Long Lake, has its own characteristics, earning it the reputation of 'a fairyland on earth' and 'a world of fairy tales.' In autumn, Jiuzhaigou has forests dyed in layers of colors and crystal-clear lakes, making it the most beautiful season of the year and a world natural heritage site. In my understanding, trying to visit the entire valley in one day is very rushed. It is recommended to prioritize the core highlights such as Five-Flower Lake, Pearl Shoal, and Nuorilang Waterfall. In high-altitude areas, pay attention to sun protection and warmth, slow down your pace, and don’t let altitude sickness ruin your experience.

Tips: The canyon trails are next to water and cliffs. Do not climb over railings or play in dangerous areas, and watch children closely. Visitors generally report that the colorful lakes are regarded as a human paradise, suitable to visit in any season; be reminded that there is a lot of walking in the scenic area, so walk slowly in high-altitude areas. Depending on the actual situation, mountain weather can change suddenly, so a windproof jacket is more practical than anything else; shoes must be non-slip and comfortable—it's better to take fewer photos than to risk twisting an ankle.

Day 2: Huanglong

Set off from the hotel early in the morning and head straight to Huanglong. First, listen to the tour guide explain the background and highlights, then explore freely at a leisurely pace and take additional photos according to your interests. After lunch, take a short rest, and return to the hotel in the evening to build up energy for the next day.

Attraction Introduction: This stop is Huanglong, located in Aba, Sichuan, not far from Jiuzhaigou. It is famous for its large scale and intricate travertine pools. Scenic spots such as the Five-Color Pool, the Striving-for-Beauty Pool, and the Golden Sand Spread Ground are layered and colorful, earning it the nickname 'Fairyland on Earth.' It is also a World Natural Heritage site. Due to the high altitude, visitors should move within their capability. My understanding is that Huanglong's high altitude and extensive walking suggest taking the cable car up the mountain and hiking down; do not underestimate altitude sickness—bring oxygen and slow down your pace.

Warm Tips: Many parts of the mountain path are slippery, so especially when going downhill, lean your weight back, slow your steps, and consider bringing knee pads. Visitors generally say the travertine pools resemble a terraced fairyland, and the high altitude causes shortness of breath; be sure to bring oxygen and proceed according to your ability. Regarding shopping, avoid impulsive purchases; if you see a 'limited-time offer,' pause for three minutes to think. If you really want souvenirs, choose a reputable store and keep the receipt for peace of mind.

Day 3: Dujiangyan

Today's theme is Dujiangyan. Avoid crowded peak hours by entering the park during off-peak times, follow the recommended route for an in-depth tour; enjoy local cuisine nearby at noon, spend the afternoon on free activities or join the guide for additional sightseeing, and rest at the hotel in the evening.

Attraction Introduction: Today's itinerary includes Dujiangyan attractions. Dujiangyan is a water conservancy project led by the father-and-son duo Li Bing during the Warring States period. The Yuzui, Feishayan, and Baopingkou still irrigate the Chengdu Plain today and are considered a 'living heritage.' You can visit the Erwang Temple and walk across the Anlan Suspension Bridge to appreciate the ancient wisdom of adapting to water. In my understanding, when touring an ancient city, don’t just check in at landmarks—explore backstreets and alleys to taste local flavors; that is how the city truly comes alive.

Tips: The ancient city’s attractions are spread out, requiring a fair amount of walking and transfers, so it is recommended to wear comfortable flat shoes and plan your route well. Visitors generally report being impressed by the two-thousand-year-old water management wisdom, saying it is even more stunning than imagined. It is advised that you can combine this with a visit to Mount Qingcheng on the same day, mainly on foot. Based on practical considerations, keep your documents and wallet separately, take photos of important documents and store backups on your phone so that in case of loss, you can quickly replace them without affecting your itinerary.

Day 4: Sanxingdui

Gather in the morning and depart for Sanxingdui. Follow the guide along the main route, visiting all the key highlights, leaving ample time for photography and rest. At noon, enjoy a local specialty meal, then continue exploring in the afternoon. In the evening, check in at the hotel to rest and recharge for the next day’s itinerary.

Attraction introduction: One of the main highlights arranged in the itinerary is Sanxingdui. Sanxingdui is a stop worth making specifically on this route, attracting travelers from afar with its unique natural or cultural charm. It is recommended to slow down the pace, follow the guide’s explanations, and devote time to the details that move you most and the best photo spots. My understanding is that the mountaintop is windy and the temperature varies greatly, so a windbreaker and a thermos are essential to avoid freezing yourself while traveling light.

Tips: There is a large temperature difference between morning and evening in the mountains, and the mountaintop is windy. A windproof jacket and warm inner layers are necessary. Visitors generally report being impressed by the Bronze Civilization, and many say the new exhibition hall is worth a second visit. Reminder: tickets are hard to book, and a guided explanation is necessary for full understanding. Based on the actual situation, carry some change and small packets of snacks for times when signal is poor or supplies are limited—don’t wait until you’re hungry to look for them.

Traveler feedback — Return-day travelers remind: pack ID and souvenirs the night before; allow extra time. Practical note — Return-day tip: pack ID, power bank and souvenirs the night before; allow extra time—mountain roads are unpredictable.
