Day 1: Lijiang

Set off early from the hotel straight to Lijiang, first listen to the guide explain the background and highlights, then stroll freely and take additional photos according to your interests; after lunch, rest for a while, return to the hotel in the evening to conserve energy for the next day.

Attraction Introduction: A key highlight arranged in the itinerary is Lijiang. Lijiang is famous for the Lijiang ancient town, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and Shuhe Ancient Town, with the Naxi Dongba culture uniquely charming. Lijiang ancient town is a "World Cultural Heritage" site, featuring small bridges and flowing water, and well-arranged Naxi residences. Jade Dragon Snow Mountain resembles a silver dragon stretching across the horizon. This is a gathering place for literary youth and snow mountain enthusiasts. My understanding is that the ancient town's charm is best experienced in the early morning and at night, avoiding the noisy noon; when visiting Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, be mindful of altitude sickness, and book cable car tickets in advance.

Tips: Many mountain roads are slippery, especially downhill, so pay attention to leaning back and slowing down, and consider bringing knee pads. Visitors generally feel that the atmosphere of the ancient town and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain are the core; they say it remains beautiful despite commercialization. Be aware of strong UV rays and possible altitude sickness near the snow mountains, and check the ancient town maintenance fees in advance. Respect local customs according to the actual situation; dress appropriately in religious sites, and do not point arbitrarily—just a greeting can receive goodwill.

Day 2: Shangri-La

Today's theme is Shangri-La. Avoid peak crowds by entering the park off-peak and follow the recommended route for an in-depth tour; have local cuisine nearby for lunch, enjoy free activities or join the guide for extra sightseeing in the afternoon, and stay at a hotel for rest in the evening.

Attraction Introduction: This stop is Shangri-La. Shangri-La is located in Diqing, Yunnan, and is synonymous with 'Paradise on Earth.' Attractions such as Pudacuo National Park, Songzanlin Monastery, Dukezong Ancient Town, and Napa Lake are captivating. Snow-capped mountains, meadows, lakes, and Tibetan Buddhist culture converge here. The altitude is relatively high, making it a pure land in many people’s minds. My understanding is that in high-altitude areas, you should pay attention to sun protection, keep warm, prevent altitude sickness, and avoid strenuous activity on the first night. Songzanlin Monastery is called 'Little Potala Palace' and is worth a slow visit.

Tips: Mountain trails have many steps and steep slopes, so wear non-slip sports shoes. Those with mobility difficulties are advised to take the cable car. Most tourists report that Shangri-La is worth a special trip. It is recommended to slow down, follow the guide for explanations, and leave time for the details that touch you most and the best photo spots. Considering the actual situation, the biggest drawback of group tours is a rushed visit; listening to explanations is the essence. The cultural stories behind each site are often more memorable than photos. If you don’t understand something, ask the guide on the spot.

Day 3: Lugu Lake

In the morning, gather and depart for Lugu Lake. Follow the guide to tour along the main route, visiting all the key highlights, with ample time reserved for photos and rest. At noon, enjoy a local specialty meal. In the afternoon, continue exploring deeper, and in the evening, check into the hotel to recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: Today’s itinerary includes Lugu Lake, which is a stop worth dedicating time to on this route. It attracts travelers from afar with its unique natural and cultural charm. It is recommended to slow down, listen to the guide’s explanations, and leave time for the details that move you most and the best photo spots. My understanding is that in the waterside canyon, you should definitely wear non-slip shoes and bring a waterproof pouch for your phone. Enjoy yourself but also protect your personal belongings.

Warm Tips: The canyon trail is near water and cliffs, so do not climb over railings or play in dangerous areas, and keep an eye on accompanying children. Visitors generally report that the highland lake is tranquil and favored by artistic travelers, and that walking across the Marriage Bridge and watching the sunrise is beautiful. Note that the journey is long, so plan for two days to avoid rushing. Depending on the situation, if you want authentic local food, venture deeper into the alleys; queues at the main gate eateries are long and the taste is ordinary. For local specialties, always ask for the price first and compare; local supermarkets often offer more reliable products.

Day 4: Dali

Set off from the hotel early in the morning and head straight to Dali. First, listen to the guide's explanation about the background and highlights, then explore freely at a leisurely pace and take extra photos of spots that interest you. After lunch, rest for a while, return to the hotel in the evening, and save energy for the next day.

Attraction Introduction: This stop is Dali. Dali is famous for Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. The 'Wind, Flower, Snow, Moon' four scenes (Xiaguan Wind, Shangguan Flower, Cangshan Snow, Erhai Moon) are its romantic signature. Attractions such as Dali Ancient Town, Chongsheng Temple Three Pagodas, Xizhou Ancient Town, and Shuanglang surround Erhai Lake. Cycling or driving around the lake is the best way to experience this landscape. This is a place where countless people long for a slow-paced life. My understanding is that when cycling around Erhai Lake, choose good weather and be sure to protect yourself from strong UV rays; staying in Shuanglang or Xizhou offers the most beautiful views of Erhai Lake in the early morning and evening.

Tips: Many mountain roads are slippery, especially downhill, so pay attention to shifting your center of gravity backward and slowing down; consider bringing knee pads. Visitors generally report that the Erhai Lake loop and Cangshan are the most popular, mentioning strong winds and intense sunlight. When renting a vehicle to go around the lake, do not skimp on sunscreen. Based on actual conditions, distribute your energy wisely: tackle major highlights in the morning when you are energetic and slow down in the afternoon. Do not exhaust yourself on the first day; otherwise, you will have no strength for the following days.
