Day 1: White Horse Temple

Assemble in the morning and set off for White Horse Temple, follow the tour guide to visit the main attractions, leaving ample time for photography and rest; enjoy a local specialty meal at noon, check into the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: A highlight arranged in the itinerary is White Horse Temple. White Horse Temple is located in the eastern part of Luoyang city and was originally built during the Yongping era of the Eastern Han Dynasty. It was constructed to commemorate the White Horse carrying scriptures and the initial transmission of Buddhism to the Central Plains, and is honored as the 'First Ancient Temple of China.' It is the first state-established temple built after Buddhism was introduced to China. Inside the temple, Qiyun Pagoda Courtyard, Grand Buddha Hall, and Heavenly King Hall are arranged along the central axis, with incense burning continuously among the red walls and cypress trees for over two thousand years. Notably, the temple also features foreign-style halls donated by countries such as Myanmar, Thailand, and India, presenting a unique landscape of the eastward spread and return flow of Buddhist culture. My understanding is that one should first view the main halls along the central axis upon entering, then stroll to the Qiyun Pagoda Courtyard, and finally visit the exotic halls on both sides to experience cultural integration. Coming in the early morning when there are fewer people is ideal, as the morning light on the red walls and ancient cypress trees is most picturesque, and it also helps avoid peak tour group crowds.

Tips: The temple has many stone steps and thresholds, so do not step on the thresholds. When worshipping, line up in order and avoid pushing. Visitors generally report that the foreign-style halls (Thai/Myanmar/Indian courtyards) are photogenic and often feel more spacious than expected. Please note that the international temple area involves considerable walking, so conserve some energy for it. Be mindful of time in practice, arrive at the assembly point five to ten minutes early. It is better for people to wait for the vehicle than for the vehicle to wait for one person, so do not make everyone wait for you.

Day 2: Laojun Mountain

Assemble in the morning and depart for Laojun Mountain, following the tour guide to visit the main attractions, allowing plenty of time for taking photos and resting; enjoy a local specialty meal at noon, and check into the hotel in the evening to recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: A highlight arranged in the itinerary is Laojun Mountain. Laojun Mountain is located in Luoyang, Luanchuan County, and is the main peak of the Funiu Mountains, as well as a famous Taoist mountain. It is said to be the place where Laozi, the founder of Taoism, retreated for cultivation. The Golden Summit Taoist Temple complex stands on a peak over two thousand meters above sea level, with golden tiles and red walls, surrounded by a sea of clouds, earning the reputation of 'a dazzling feast in the mortal world, a glimpse of the splendor of the human world.' The Ten-Mile Painted Screen is the highlight of the entire trip—a high-altitude walkway suspended on a cliff that changes perspective with every step, offering a full view of the peak forest, sea of clouds, and sunrise. You can take a two-stage cable car to ascend; on clear days, you can watch the sunrise over the sea of clouds from the top, and in winter, it is a highly popular spot for snow viewing in the Central Plains. My understanding is that you must get an early start to take the cable car to the top and secure good lighting for the Golden Summit and the Ten-Mile Painted Screen; it is windy and cold at the summit, so a windbreaker and a thermos are essential, and those afraid of heights should not force themselves on the glass viewing platform.

Warm Tips: Many mountain paths are slippery, especially downhill, so pay attention to shifting your center of gravity backward and slowing down, and you can prepare a pair of knee pads. Visitors generally report that the Golden Summit sea of clouds and sunrise are considered the main highlights, and many people specifically stay on the mountain to witness dawn; note that the temperature difference at the summit is large, and cable car lines can be long—be sure to get an early start during peak season. Depending on the actual situation, when taking photos, do not focus solely on the shots; pay attention to your footing and the surrounding environment. Always hold on and stand securely at the edges of viewing platforms and walkways.

Day 3: Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden

Gather in the morning and depart for Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden, follow the tour guide to visit the main attractions, allowing plenty of time for photos and rest; have a local specialty meal at noon, check into the hotel in the evening, and recharge for the next day's itinerary.

Attraction Introduction: One of the highlights of the itinerary is Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden. Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden is located in Kaifeng and is a Song Dynasty culture-themed park built based on Zhang Zeduan's 'Along the River During the Qingming Festival' from the Northern Song Dynasty. It reproduces the Rainbow Bridge, Bian River, marketplaces, and taverns from the painting, recreating the bustling scene of Tokyo Bianliang. There are live performances and folk parades throughout the day in the park, the most famous being the nighttime water live show 'The Song Dynasty·Dream of Tokyo,' which uses light and shadow to recreate the grandeur of the Northern Song capital. During the day, you can watch the park opening ceremony, Bao Gong welcoming guests, and Mr. Wang proposing, among other immersive folk performances. This is also a paradise for Hanfu enthusiasts—put on a Song-style Hanfu and walk between Rainbow Bridge and Bian River; any photo taken will look like an ancient-style masterpiece. My understanding is: upon entering the park, first get the performance schedule, plan must-see shows and the night show, and then explore and eat at your own pace; visiting the market during the day is most immersive, while the night show is an audio-visual feast, worth seeing if your budget allows.

Tips: Popular attractions in the park often have long queues, so get a map and performance schedule upon entering and prioritize the must-play projects. Visitors commonly report that visiting the market during the day feels most immersive, while the night show 'The Song Dynasty·Dream of Tokyo' has mixed reviews; note that performance tickets are relatively expensive, so plan according to your budget. Considering practical conditions, for the best photos, go early in the morning or late in the afternoon—the morning light is soft and crowd is small, the evening light is golden; around noon, the top-down light is harsh and crowded, so resting at that time is more worthwhile.
