Day 1: White Horse Temple

Early in the morning, enter White Horse Temple to quietly explore among the red walls and green cypresses in the morning light, focusing on the Qiyun Pagoda and the two exotic-style Buddhist halls; in the afternoon, enjoy free activities, and you can take additional photos along the central axis. Return to the hotel in the evening.

Attraction Introduction: At this stop, we arrive at White Horse Temple. White Horse Temple is located in the east of Luoyang city, originally built during the Eastern Han Dynasty, and is honored as the "First Ancient Temple in China." It was the first state-sponsored temple after Buddhism was introduced to Central China. The Qiyun Pagoda, the Burmese-style Buddhist hall, and the Indian-style Buddhist hall each have their own exotic charm. Among the red walls and green cypresses, you can calmly experience two thousand years of incense offerings. The Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Great Buddha Hall, and the Qiyun Pagoda Courtyard are the most worth a detailed look.

Tips: The tour involves a lot of walking, so it is recommended to wear comfortable sports shoes and bring a light jacket according to the weather. Be sure to carry your ID and other valid documents, follow the guide throughout the tour, and remember the assembly times and places. Visitors generally report that the exotic-style Buddhist halls (Thai/Burmese/Indian courtyard) are highly photogenic, and they generally feel more spacious than expected. Note that the international temple area requires quite a bit of walking, so save some energy. Considering the actual situation, there are many halls in the temple, so wear shoes suitable for walking. Respect religious customs, and please do not make noise or take photos inside the halls.

Day 2: Chongdugou

Today's summer escape trip has a relaxed pace, focusing on the vast bamboo forest and cascading waterfalls; the afternoon is free, and we will stay at a farmhouse in the evening to rest.

Attraction Introduction: One highlight arranged in the itinerary is Chongdugou. Chongdugou is located in Luanchuan, known for its vast bamboo forests, cascading waterfalls, and Western Henan farming scenery. Jinji River and Dicsui River each have clusters of waterfalls. You can stay at a farmhouse and try wild mountain vegetables. It is one of the few 'Jiangnan-style water town' summer leisure destinations, suitable for slow-paced family trips. Among them, Jinji River, Dicsui River, and Water Curtain Fairy Palace are the most worth a detailed visit.

Tips: The itinerary includes mountain road sections, with large temperature differences in the morning and evening, and many steps. It is recommended to wear a light jacket and non-slip sports shoes, and be careful on the steps. Be sure to bring your ID and other valid documents, follow the guide throughout, and remember the meeting times and places. Most tourists think Chongdugou is worth a special visit, so it is recommended to slow down, listen to the guide, and leave time for the details that impress you the most and the best photo spots. Depending on the actual situation, Chongdugou is best known for its water scenery and bamboo forest. It is pleasant for summer trips, and in rainy weather, wear non-slip shoes as the paths can be slippery.

Day 3: Longmen Grottoes

In the morning, head to Longmen Grottoes, follow the Yihe River trail along the Western Hill Grottoes to closely view the Fengtian Temple Vairocana Buddha, then cross the bridge to the Eastern Hill Worship Terrace for a distant panoramic view; at noon, taste Luoyang water dishes, in the afternoon visit Xiangshan Temple and Baiyuan, and return to the hotel at dusk.

Attraction Introduction: Today's itinerary includes the Longmen Grottoes attraction. The Longmen Grottoes was carved into the cliffs on both sides of the Yihe River, currently containing more than 2,000 niches and over 100,000 statues, with the Vairocana Buddha of Fengtian Temple being the most impressive. Alongside the Dunhuang and Yungang Grottoes, it is known as one of the three major grottoes, representing the peak of stone carving art from the Northern Wei to the High Tang dynasty. It is recommended to allocate half a day for careful exploration, with the Vairocana Buddha of Fengtian Temple, Binyang Three Caves, and Lotus Cave being the most worth seeing in detail.

Tips: The itinerary involves a lot of walking, so it is recommended to wear comfortable sports shoes and bring a light jacket according to the weather; be sure to carry your ID and other valid documents, follow the guide throughout, and remember the meeting times and places. Most tourists find the Vairocana Buddha the most awe-inspiring, and the Western Hill at sunset provides the best lighting for photos; walking along both sides of the Yihe River requires retracing your steps, so comfortable shoes and half a day are recommended. Based on actual conditions, the afternoon light on the west bank of Longmen Grottoes is better for photography; the Vairocana Buddha is on the Western Hill, and it is recommended to set aside more than 2 hours to view it carefully.
