Day 1: Laojun Mountain

Early in the morning, take two cable car rides to reach the Golden Summit, check in at the Taoist temple complex and enjoy the sea of clouds at sunrise; in the afternoon, slowly descend along the Ten-Mile Painted Screen, changing scenery step by step, and return by evening.

Attraction Introduction: This stop is at Laojun Mountain, located in Luoyang Luanchuan. The Golden Summit Taoist temple complex stands above the sea of clouds, and the sunrise and post-snow scenery look like a fairyland. It has become a highly popular Taoist sacred mountain and a prime spot for photography in recent years. Night climbs to view the Milky Way are also a highlight. Among these, the Golden Summit Taoist temple complex, Ten-Mile Painted Screen, and Glass Viewing Platform are the most worth a detailed look.

Tips: The itinerary involves mountain roads, with large temperature differences in the morning and evening and many steps. It is recommended to wear a light jacket and non-slip sports shoes, and watch your step when going up and down stairs. Be sure to bring your ID and other valid documents, follow the guide throughout, and remember the meeting times and locations. Visitors generally report that the sea of clouds and sunrise at the Golden Summit are the main highlights; many people stay on the summit to catch dawn specifically. Note that the temperature difference on the summit is significant, and cable car lines can be long, so during peak season, it's essential to start early. Based on the actual situation, clear mornings are best for viewing the sunrise and sea of clouds, and for long cable car queues, it's suggested to depart early. Do not stay on the summit during thunderstorms.

Day 2: Jiguan Cave

Today's geological trip: follow the guide to learn about the formation of karst caves and the wonders of stalactites; in the afternoon, you can explore the surrounding area, and in the evening, rest.

Attraction introduction: One of the highlights of the itinerary is Jiguan Cave. Jiguan Cave is a karst cave in Luanchuan, with stalactites in various shapes and beautiful lighting, maintaining a pleasant constant temperature throughout the year. You can visit it together with Longtan Grand Canyon, as the cave and the gorge complement each other; the outdoor trail and vegetation are also suitable for photography. It is a classic geological wonder in western Henan, with Yuzhu Pond, Yicai Hall, and Diwei Palace being the most worth a close look.

Tips: The itinerary includes mountainous roads, with large temperature differences between morning and evening and many steps, so it is recommended to wear a light jacket and non-slip sports shoes, and pay attention to your footing when going up and down stairs. Be sure to bring your ID and other valid documents, follow the guide throughout, and remember the gathering times and locations. Most tourists think Jiguan Cave is worth a special trip, so it is recommended to slow down, listen to the guide's explanations, and leave time for the details that move you most and for the best photo spots. Considering practical conditions, Jiguan Cave is a karst cave with an internal constant temperature of about 18°C, which differs significantly from the outside temperature, so bring a light jacket when entering.

Day 3: Longmen Grottoes

In the morning, head to Longmen Grottoes, follow the Yihe River trail along the Western Hill Grottoes to closely view the Fengxian Temple Vairocana Buddha, then cross the bridge to the Eastern Hill Worship Terrace for a distant panoramic view; at noon, taste Luoyang water dishes, and in the afternoon visit Xiangshan Temple and Bai Garden, returning to the hotel at dusk.

Attraction Introduction: Today's itinerary includes the Longmen Grottoes attraction. The Longmen Grottoes was carved into the cliffs on both sides of the Yihe River, with over 2,000 existing grottoes and more than 100,000 statues, with the Fengxian Temple Vairocana Buddha being the most stunning. Together with Dunhuang and Yungang, it is called one of the three great grottoes. It represents the pinnacle of Northern Wei to High Tang stone carving art. It is recommended to reserve half a day to carefully appreciate it, among which the Fengxian Temple Vairocana Buddha, Binyang Three Caves, and Lotus Cave are the most worth seeing in detail.

Tips: The whole journey involves a lot of walking, so comfortable sports shoes are recommended, and bring a light jacket according to the weather; be sure to carry your ID and other valid documents, follow the guide closely, and remember the meeting times and locations. Most tourists find the Vairocana Buddha most impressive, with the Western Hill being the best for sunset photography; walking along both sides of the Yihe River requires retracing your steps, so wear comfortable shoes and reserve half a day. According to the actual situation, the afternoon on the west bank provides good lighting for photography; the Vairocana Buddha is on the Western Hill, so it is recommended to reserve more than 2 hours to carefully view it.
